    Thank you Dr! I previously put on timer for 2 mins but with my recent way of brushing slowly and gently, plus using a very small orthodontic brush to brush by wisdom teeth, it seems to take about 5 mins or more. I do it slowly so as not to wear down my already worn enamel (from years of aggressive brushing due to ignorance). So the brushing time seems long but i am not brushing longer per tooth, just brushing very slowly and gently. Thank you for your video!

    How do you brush your teeth? Do brush them in a specific order or do you just wing it?

    Hello doctor, is it okay to gargle with water after I eat anything to remove the leftover particles?? Does it cause any damage to gums?

    • @VeryNiceSmileDental
      @VeryNiceSmileDental  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rinsing with water after you eat won't cause any damage, and it is a good thing to do if you can't brush your teeth right away. Thank you very much for watching!

      @@VeryNiceSmileDental thank you so much for replying! One more question, I have read that chewing sugar free gum is also good after every meal to lower the chances of plaque, is it correct?? I usually chew sugar free gum with xylitol

      @@SEVEN. Yes xylitol is supposed to help prevent cavities.

    Hey Doctor, i
    have 2 questions. If i floss every single day, but I dont necessarily tilt my toothbrush at a 45 degree angle is there still a chance that i can still devolop gingitivis? When i have used all of the floss. Is it necessary to clean it with my fingers only when it has food particles or just wrap it up on each of my fingers? ( to start with the lower teeth for example)
    Thank u so much for this video.

      Thanks for the questions. Ideally, you should tilt your toothbrush when you brush. If you don't, you may miss some plaque and it could possibly lead to gingivitis. As to cleaning the floss, I usually rinse it off in the sink. Thanks for watching!

      @@VeryNiceSmileDental thank u so much for your response, but is it necessary to rinse it with water if im going to continue to use the same piece on my lower teeth for example?

    • @VeryNiceSmileDental
      @VeryNiceSmileDental  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@luisfelipegetto5101, you don't have to rinse it off, you can just wipe it off with your finger or move to a different section of the piece of floss you're using.

      @@VeryNiceSmileDental Thank you u so much for your answers. If i didnt brush the day before, and during the morning the day after i took about an hour to floss my teeth and then I took about 30 minutes to brush my teeth, will it still be necessary to brush my teeth for a second time before eating anything just due to the fact that we have to brush our teeth at least twice a day??

      @@luisfelipegetto5101 Hi, brushing twice a day (morning and night) or after every meal is better than one long brushing session once per day.

    I heard some doctors saying do the 45 angle but instead of rotating the brush just wiggle. I am kind of confused which one to use.

    • @VeryNiceSmileDental
      @VeryNiceSmileDental  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do which ever motion is easier for you, although I think little circles are easier (which way do you move the brush to "wiggle it"?). Just don't scrub back and forth. Thank you very much for watching.

    • @MusicLuv80
      @MusicLuv80 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VeryNiceSmileDental When I wiggle it I do it left and right for few seconds.

    • @VeryNiceSmileDental
      @VeryNiceSmileDental  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use little circles instead. Moving the brush left and right will lead you to start scrubbing which can be bad for your gums and roots of your teeth.
