The bottle opener would get caught on my shirt and pull the knife out from my trouser pocket resulting in a near loss of the knife and some awkward moments having to pick it up in public quite too often, so I grinded off the bottle opener on mine and am glad that i did it.
Leatherman hit such a fucking home run with the Skeletool; it's almost universally adored, and rightly so. I think they could make a spinoff tool based on the Skeletool bottle opener, and people would love it.
hands down my favorite blade! its so hot wear I live trying to carry a heavy folder is not feasible in dri-fit shorts, board shorts, swim suits etc.. thanks! Wish it was a flipper though
I agree with your B2 comments. It would be cool if you could do a custom LEATHERMAN and you could add the tools you want on on the knife or multi tool. Great review as always appreciate the honesty.
.... the Juice CS4 is the best.... a great blade as well, the American equivalent to the Victorinox "Huntsman" SAK with the additional very useful pliers. Carried in the new nylon sheath its a great EDC. Its a pity that Leatherman has discontinued the Juice series. You can also use the bit extender on the CS4.
Straight blades and serrated blades are designed for much difference uses. Serrated blades are harder to sharpen, but when needed, are so much easier to use.
I almost lost my skeletool cx a week after I got it while using the pocket clip. it would work it's way up and out of my pocket so easily. I removed it and use a regular leatherman pouch now.
Ben, a good blade and saw combo that's lightweight is the victorinox walker with a 2.25 inch blade and 2.5 inch saw that weighs 1.6 oz. but is still big enough for a 4 finger grip. it's like the victorinox version of that b2 but with a saw.
Both are pretty sweet, right up my alley too because I've settled on the Dragonfly 2 Salt as what I need for an EDC and they are both comparable in size and weight. Couldn't agree more on the Juice, a small saw would be perfect along with the plain edge blade.
Great video Ben, as usual, but can not say the same for the knife. Too short and too light. FIRST: If you want something to swap out for your EDC standard size folding knife you may not like the lack of weight in the KBX. Comes with a scale made of some ridiculously light aluminum which makes the whole thing feel cheap and lightweight. I can not notice the weight in my pocket, and therefore wouldn't notice if it fell out. If the scale were made of steel will be much better. SECOND: Will fit very well in your hand ONLY if you have small hands otherwise, if you have big hands, the handle is so short that one-handed opening is simply difficult and dangerous. I decided to keep it and switch blade with the partially serrated on my Skeletool
Great video, i have both, love them both. I prefer the serrated bade as it will cut more things, it is more like a saw. Would of liked a pocket clip and scissors.
Leatherman have a problem with the clip too loose) and a point on the clip for opening bottle when you grab the knife in your pocket thats hurt your thumb
Jeff Matzke That's exactly what I was thinking...I don't see why not. I'd like to put a non-serrated blade on my Skeletool, & the serrated blade would be fine on the KB.
I wish they made the juice more of a Swiss Army type tool. Scissors, knife, and screw drivers. I would be interested. The skeletool would be cool if they made a154cm version but I like the price point of the 420hc model.
This knife is very nice and it seems well made. It is however pretty small and I wouldn't use it for any tasks other than maybe cutting fruit or opening boxes.
Twist off cap, uses bottle opener ;)
like a BOSS
I didn't pay $25 for nothing! (bad excuses to get new knives/MTs)
The bottle opener would get caught on my shirt and pull the knife out from my trouser pocket resulting in a near loss of the knife and some awkward moments having to pick it up in public quite too often, so I grinded off the bottle opener on mine and am glad that i did it.
Just found this thing wedged between my seat in the car I got. It's a brand new skelatool
Leatherman hit such a fucking home run with the Skeletool; it's almost universally adored, and rightly so. I think they could make a spinoff tool based on the Skeletool bottle opener, and people would love it.
I been edc a leatherman skeletool KBX for about 2 months and absolutely love it! thanks for the video.
Do you still own kbx?
The KB has been in my Amazon cart waiting for the price to drop. Glad you did this video, thanks.

Mt. Baldwin I just got a "Walker" a couple weeks ago. I love the size/weight. Great utility for hiking around in the woods or trails!
I'll check it out.
Mt. Baldwin
I got the walker and a skeletool . My opinion the leatherm it is more superior quality blade .
The value of the serrated blade is that you can cut rope without having to resharpen and save your fine blade for other tasks.
Both are pretty sweet, right up my alley too because I've settled on the Dragonfly 2 Salt as what I need for an EDC and they are both comparable in size and weight.

Yep, it reminded me of the dragonfly and ladybug.
They just ripped some multitools in half. I did order the skeletool knife for my survival tin but that's about the only use I could find for it
Material of the blade? I hope its not 420.
Very nice little knife, but unfortunately Latherman did not accept the guarantee after breaking the tip of the blade.

I have the skeletool multitool, so organically i'm drawn to its knife counterpart. Price is on point as well.
great little knife
I feel like a saw that small would be rather ineffective, but anything other than a serrated blade would be an improvement!
I love my KB as well. Its my pocket carry on a daily basis.
Thanks Ben. I kind of like that Skeletool KB.
Great take on this video. I also thought that the two blade combo seemed a bit strange. Love the look of that kb though ! 😀
Great video, i have both, love them both. I prefer the serrated bade as it will cut more things, it is more like a saw. Would of liked a pocket clip and scissors.
Or the interchangeable saw
Leatherman have a problem with the clip too loose) and a point on the clip for opening bottle when you grab the knife in your pocket thats hurt your thumb
I agree a saw would be great with that juice b.
Great video Ben.... as always. I have a Juice CS4 and I love that one
The Juice B2 is perfect for the car!
I may buy one soon, it would be a nice companion to my wave and klaurus mi7
DO IT!
Do you think you Would-be possible To take the blade from the KB and install it On a skelatool ?
Jeff Matzke That's exactly what I was thinking...I don't see why not. I'd like to put a non-serrated blade on my Skeletool, & the serrated blade would be fine on the KB.
Yes, you can switch blades with the Skeletool, they are the same size.

I agree with you Ben on the B2.. should have been Blade with scissors.. Great Review Thanks
Great to just Have handy. It would be perfect for smaller kits 👍 ( the skeletool )
really like the knife and good price ! not so much on the juice 2 !
I wish the KB was in columbia blue like the KBX.
Cool 😎
Thanks Ben!
Think iam going to pick up a KB
DO IT!
looks like it'd be easy to accidentally disengage the liner lock in use...
if it's anything like the regular skeletool it's not a concern at all. never happens, never comes close to happening
Scissors for sure
This knife is very nice and it seems well made. It is however pretty small and I wouldn't use it for any tasks other than maybe cutting fruit or opening boxes.
Oz Things that a slightly larger knife might be better suited for.
I want it
awesome
I have a KB in my shed. It's a good value tool.
you sir, have humongous hands. good review though!
no
