David, thank God you made this video! I went crazy when I watched the program. I was getting ready to make a reaction about it, in Portuguese. In the United States you had the relaunch of some toys with the new film. But here in Brazil, the last Portuguese versions were only released in 2011, and never again! This makes some figures even more rare and valuable. I usually say that here in Brazil we pay 5 times the amount that a collector pays in the United States. Just to give you an idea, the Buzz (Signature Collection) currently sells for $ 400 here. Unbelievable!
Wow that is crazy!!! I know in other countries sometimes the toy values are even worse because they got less of the toys and everyone still wants them. Yes I am glad this video helped I’m just trying to tell people the truth and expose the toy “expert” because he was very wrong.

I used to love watching Pawn Stars American Pickers Counting Cars and American Restoration and the reruns of The old Batman Tv Show That’s where I got my love and compassion into toy collecting and modifications and my love for attempting to be a filmmaker

@@E2ForLife I'm speculating if the re-releases of Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye, the aliens, and the soldiers were just leftover stock meant to be sold at TRU. (After the Toy Story Collection items left major retailers like Walmart and Target in 2011, they became Toys R Us exclusives from 2012-2018)
Wish they made the collection toys more toy mode wise and non talking cause some of them to me just arent that great sadly and most really dont talk in the movie, i can only guess they had legal issues and could only go so far with what to make or they had to go with what sells and talking toys with happy faces probably appeal to kids more in ratings or something

Sorry to say but stores don’t sell collection or signature collection anymore. I think they might come back when and if Toy Story 5 comes out. They seem to only be in stores for the movie promotion then after a year or so they stop selling them. The best times to buy toy story toys was in 2009-2011 (for Toy Story 3 movie promotion) and then in 2019 (for Toy Story 4 movie promotion), outside that time it’s hard to find, only eBay. So they only sell them for fast profit during movie promotional times. I really think it’s just a business strategy to cash out after the hype of a movie release.

At the time I didn’t realize the difference and thought it was the one with the Cassette player and Was just wondering if I overpaid. Any thoughts on what both models are going for?
Well the prices keep changing and not for the better over the last 13 years these have gotten way more expensive. The bigger mr Mike goes for $400-800 and probably worse boxed. The smaller mr Mike goes for about $250-400

Not even to mention they don’t bring up the original Woody and Buzz from 1995, for christmas a few years ago my cousins went together and got me a replacement wave 1 Woody and a wave 2 Buzz the Wave 1 Woody itself is quite pricy... Which makes that gift even more special.

Not long ago there is an episode of Pawn Stars where a Disney story artist came in it was the legendary Floyd Norman who worked on Sleeping Beauty 101 Dalmatians the sword in the stone and Walt Disney’s last cartoon movie the jungle book my favorite and he had an animation cel from the little mermaid he said it was the last movie using traditional ink and paint concept art from Who framed Roger Rabbit a movie poster for the iron giant autographed he actually worked on Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc
He did worked on the original Scooby Doo at Hanna Barbera

When you say mint in box you mean sealed? For me personally I think that you can’t keep them sealed because the alkaline batteries eventually will leak and potentially damage the board.
Well it’s both in box as in you have the original box and it’s still in good condition and yes mint sealed also holds value... we don’t know about battery corrosion until it’s opened. I personally recommend taking the batteries out.. to avoid the corrosion even if I was collecting them to keep in box. Every collector is different though on this.
