I just picked one up today for $165 at Walmart on Black Friday and it's a giant improvement over my old LG 1080p TV from 2013 that with my I-5 9400f and my 2080 this lil thing is a beast and I am glad I picked it up. Thank u for the video and look forward to watching future ones of yours
I picked up one as well for Black Friday but I seem to be seeing a deep red smoke on faster movement like a cloud where there should be blur?..should I lower my gamma perhaps?
my only issue with this monitor is that the colour seems to be so washed out compared to my tv, any help? (i don’t have a pc i hooked my playstation into the monitor that’s it)
The best way to remedy this will be to adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation settings until you see something that looks best for your use. You can always reset the monitor to the factory setting if you feel like the modifications you've made aren't the solution. It will take a little trial and effort to find your preferred visual settings. Just be patient and experiment a litte.
I haven't really seen issues with this however how I'm using this monitor isn't currently "pushing" it's limits. 144hz would probably give the more reliable performance I'd assume.
Mike, this is Jon nic's brother. I edit his videos for him. I can NOT tell you how many times i had to stop editing this video because i couldn't stop laughing. Glad you enjoyed it too man!
Sounds like your audio is going thru your HDMI connection. You can either a) run your speakers out of the monitor or b) go into your computer settings and change your audio output to your headset so it's not passing thru the HDMI.
@@tech-Nic Ended up getting a female USB to AUX adapter cable, and it worked. Yeah I tried plugging the headset into every port on my computer and matched the input and output devices to my headset, but nothing worked. Headset works now, but it's strange why this happened.
Does anyone know the dimension from the base of the stand straight down the middle between the two legs? IE Im trying to figure out if the base will fit on a 9 inch width desk shelf
I hope I'm understanding your question correctly. I just measured the feet of the monitor stand. The base stand is 16" across and just under 9" deep, so if you're hoping to set it on a desk shelf that's 9" deep (sticking out 9" from the wall that is) then you should be good to go! I hope this helps, thanks for supporting our channel!
Do you reckon this monitor is too big as desktop monitor, im looking to upgrade to a larger, higher rez monitor in preparation for Starfield lol (currently on a 144hz 1080p 24 inch Acer Nitro VG240Y)
Here's what I add to this question...it's a very personal decision. For me it starts to get questionable at this size. It does change the way I play certain games. I have been gaming on the Samsung Odyssey 49" for the last couple years as my main hub. Some games are totally fine and others induce wood vomitting sessions if I don't adjust the settings. I think this monitor is a safe gamble though. It's not so large that I would be terrified but it is right at that area where if you're prone to motion sickness it will change how you play. (I don't play many games full screen on the Odyssey) Proceed with a little bit of caution but mostly excitement on this sized monitor Fair answer? Hope it helps!
@@tech-Nic I decided to pull the trigger on this one! If I end up not liking it I can always send it back, but I think it looks great! Not to worried I appreciate the feedback!

Is it better than an lg ultragear 24"? That's what i currently have for my ps4, however I'm upgrading to ps5 and wanna know if my current monitor is still good or if i should consider the acer?
My money is on the "Power source" Issue listed below. Sounds like the monitor is trying too hard and maybe shares an electrical outlet with other things and can't swing that influx of demand. But please see Google's advice below. There are several reasons why an Acer monitor might keep turning off, including: Inactivity: Windows may turn off the display after 60 seconds of inactivity when the console is locked. Sleep mode: Monitors may go into sleep mode when there is no input signal. HDMI connection: A bad connection between the HDMI cable and the device can cause the HDMI signal to drop out. This is common if the cable is regularly plugged and unplugged. Power cable: A loose power cable can cause the monitor to turn off. Video cable: A loose video cable can cause the monitor to turn off. Power source: If the monitor turns off when a fridge starts, the power source may be the issue. The condensers on a refrigerator use a lot of power when it starts up. Moving the power to a different outlet or adding a UPS between the monitor and wall plug may help. HDR and G-Sync modes: Switching modes with the HDR and G-Sync may help determine if a specific combination of modes is causing the issue.
Metal stand and a metal mounting plate on the monitor. So its all good. However, I would always recommend using caution with an electric drill and electronics.
