    System pressure question. About 3:25 min into the video, the system is set up with the center 100 PSI check valve closed. This leaves the upper left 100 PSI check valve in series with the 300 PSI check valve in parallel with the 100 PSI and 200 PSI check valves. It takes 100 PSI to crack the first check valve and another 300 PSI to crack the 300 PSI valve for a total of 400 PSI. The 400 PSI fluid pressure hits BOTH the 100 PSI and 200 PSI check valves simultaneously opening them both up. The flow through each check valve in parallel will differ but there should be flow through both none the less because it takes 400 PSI just to get to them. If simplified valve resistance is calculated like electrical resistance, then you would use the product-sum rule [(200*100)/(200+100)] to find the total resistance of the parallel valves. In this case, the parallel resistance adds 66 PSI to the system. Shouldn't the total system pressure be 466 PSI not 500 PSI?

      In the scenario you mention, no flow is going through the 200psi valve.
      Work from right to left. The right segment will not reach the 200psi needed because in parallel, flow take the easiest path and the 100psi valve will open first, preventing the valve above ever seeing the pressure needed to open. Moving left, you add the pressure needed to open the 300psi valve, making the segment to its left be at 400psi. Moving left again, also in series we add the next 100psi, hence 500psi at the gauge.
      The resistor analogy works for flow through parallel pipes of different diameters, but not for parallel check valves. They are either open or closed, as soon as the 100 psi is reached, ALL the flow takes that path.

    Sir gud am, I would like to ask the normal reading of hydraulic pump of the excavator (psi)
    Thank you.

    what is the last two check valves are 100 Psi EACH INSTEAD OF 100 AND 200 PSI ?? PLEASE REPLY !!!

    it isn't possible for the flow to go for both branches? What will be the pressure then, that is something isn't clear.

      In reality flow will go through both lines but it will be very small through the top branch.

      It is already stated in the video that each line is large enough to allow whole pump flow through any on loop

    what software do you use to simulate hydraulics??

    • @lunchboxsessions
      @lunchboxsessions  7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Our team of artists/animators/programmers draw the graphics in a vector drawing program (like Adobe Flash or Adobe Illustrator), and then write the the code (JavaScript) that drives the simulation. The simulations run right in a web browser, like any web page. In other words, we build them from scratch! I hope you've been enjoying our videos, and thanks for the question.
