If someone tells you a trimmer is skin safe they are lying.
Check out our tips from Brio Product Group CEO, Eric, about trimming below the belt. Here are some below-the-belt trimming tips:
1) Get as much clearance between the trimmer blade and your skin as possible. Don't be afraid to use the 1-2mm guard when you are first getting started. Once you get some confidence, take that guard off.
2) Hold the trimmer with the rake against the skin. This keeps the moving blade a bit further away and can save you from some nicks and cuts!
3) Stretch out that loose skin. It can get seriously wrinkly down there - stretch it into a flat plane and trimming will be much easier. A little pulling makes trimming much easier.
4) Cut against the grain of the hair.
5) You don't have to actually touch the rake against your most sensitive parts! Once you stretch the skin, you can go against the grain and hover - cutting that hair without even touching your skin with the trimmer!
6) Go SLOW! VERY important. when executing step 5. It's all about going slow and steady down there!
7) Get a Beardscape! - we are biased but it is seriously the best tool for this job.

I wish I would have ran into this video a little sooner. Just broke every rule this guy told me not to break and now I'm basically on my period.
So I'm stumbling across this video while looking for a new body trimmer, and I just have to say I really appreciate this level of transparency and awareness with the shaving sector. How does the Andis SlimLine Pro Li sound for "down in South Park"? It's got a manual adjustable and zero setting gap. Is it too much speed for the area but good for everything up north?

Will the brio reduce the chance of getting ingrown hairs?
Leaving your hair a bit longer will definitely help reduce ingrown hairs. With the Beardscape you have the option to trim at .9 mm - 1.9 mm. For body hair, I would definitely recommend starting with the 1.9 mm setting. If you want a shorter look you can always slide the blade lower and go over it again.
ingrown hair happens when the hair gets cut so low that it goes under the skin so when it's trying to find it's way out for freedom it goes through another tunnel which has no exit so it tries to make it's own exit thus you get an ingrown hair. Best way to avoid that is to shave with the grain.

If this is such a better product than why doesn't this have better marketing?? Like I have not heard not one promotion about this product until I bought a manscape. I legit feel played but it's okay because it's my first major buy as far as a trimmer definitely will be getting the brio next purchase
Because Manscaped spends most of their budget on marketing and not innovating the actual trimmer. The manscaped trimmer is not a great trimmer to be honest compared to the brio beardscaped and that's because Brio actually spends their money on the development of the trimmer itself.
Company’s need to profit to continue selling. There’s multiple ways to go about selling a 100 dollar trimmer for example one company might spend $70 to produce and ship it while only spending $10 dollars on marketing per sale. Another might spend $50 to make a less quality product but spend 30 on marketing for each sale.
Is the Brio water proof?

Can the brio actually shave on the balls?? If so should you use a guard?
Yes apparently you have to use a guard for any trimmer/groomer when trimming your balls. And to actually shave it’s probably best to use a manual shaver 🪒 so you can be even more careful and slow and gentle on your balls. You have to really take your time when shaving your balls because you don’t want to break the skin it’s very bothersome and will sting like hell trust me I know. And you have to stretch your skin there as much as you can when shaving. It’s a chore I know. That’s why most men just trim their balls rather than clean shave.
