Yo I need help with my beard. First time going long but idk how to sculpt it and keep growing... In my experience, i no longer trust barbers with my beard...wish there was a beard brand barber in VA.. HELP
Same here ...been growing mine since march...never had a long (ish) beard before but dev love it...i don't think I'll go back to short or dev not shaven lol
I know this video is 3 years old, but I really appreciated the demo and good explanation. I am in my 40s and grew out a beard for the first time. I had a barber shape my neckline, but with everything being so expensive, I needed to be able to trim at home. This video helped make that happen, and the end result looks great. I'm going for more of a "this is Sparta!" than "it's over Anakin, I have the high ground." :)
Beardbrand Alliance I’m about 5 weeks in but fighting the urge to cut the strays on my cheeks and mustache. Hoping with the Beardbrand products and patience those strays will lay down.
Thank you!!!! This is what I have been mining the internet for! I have been looking for how to trim it while growing and every thing else is just recommending beard oil and other products instead of trimming off that weird round bit. THANK YOU
I find that strangers make more eye contact with me when I have a short beard than with a long one. Much depends on how much you smile, though. Great beard trim and haircut.
I shake a little so I get nervous about shaving my beard without comb lengths. I use the Remington Quick Cut Hair Clippers with Curved Blade with a grade 4 comb attachment. Also use it on my head at grade 2. It does a great job on the beard.
I trying to my beard ever since I was able to grow facial hair but to not avail. I never under stood that there was more to just growing it ( grooming conditioning etc). I want to simple say that I enjoy your videos. It offers great advice on not just growing your beard but growing your overall character to become a more complete individual. I have started to invest in your beard products and I see the change just after a few day of use. Your products are amazing. I am very pleased with my purchase and I do intend to purchase more in the future.
Definitely been having trouble with the sideburns feeling like they are growing outwards too much which makes my face much rounder. Gonna try trimming them a bit shorter and giving it more of a faded look like what you have going on. Nervous I’m gonna mess it up!
I still confused about the neckline. You free handed it but how? I saw somewhere that you just look in the mirror and everything see under the chin is what you get rid off. Is that what you did for the neckline? Thanks.
Ok, so is it supposed to be 1 or 2 fingers above the Adam’s apple? I did one just in case for my corona beard, and it’s getting a bit overgrown now. Thinking about trimming it a bit because I’m starting to look a bit homeless.
Haven't watched for quite a while, weren't you at one point afraid of losing your hair or something like that? Because I think they look really good in this video, the style suits you well!
Hey Eric, do you know any good barber shops in Atlanta? What happened to the database you guys were making with a list of barbers who are in different cities? Love the videos :)
Didn't get a lot of submissions, unfortunately. So any database we'd release wouldn't be confirmed with their abilities.I don't know of any good barbers in Atlanta at the moment.
Eric Bandholz Gotcha, thanks for letting me know. I just saw that you were at stylecon in Atlanta a few times and thought you might know of some good places to get a cut.
I use a 5 and a half setting and just go over my whole face and then use the scissors here and there and then a little balm and a good brushing and I’m ready. Having tour mustache so long that it’s below your upper lip would drive me crazy.
Started growing my hair out for first time during this quarantine and experimenting with styling hair products including beardbrand..it’s a journey for sure and the attention/looks you get from people is cool and weird, haha. Also letting the beard flourish and it’s close to your length...just not as full with a few patches...#beardgoals 😐
Woo - welcome to the party, man. 🎉 Depending on where you're at in the journey, it's common to navigate through patchy areas in the beard within the first 90 days of growing. Depending on how how your facial hair grows, you can work with different styling techniques to help disguise them. Either way, we've got you covered in the journey - let us know how we can support you. Cheers! 😎 -Sly
I started growing a handlebar mustache and goatee combo back in August. First time ever experimenting with facial hair. It's been coming along pretty well but I've always had similar issues with the wispy stuff at the base near the neck that drove me nuts and just didn't look right. This video was an absolute gamechanger! Instantly improved the look without having to take much length off at all. Thanks so much!
Nice job. Excellent! Eric, how is the Wahl Senior Cordless 5 Star for beards? I just bought one for home use on my beard. I want to use it to cut down the length whenever it gets to long, not for the shaping. I used an Oster 76 classic for many years but it finally broke. I also bought the plastic guides with the metal clips. Do you think that was overkill? And even if it was overkill do you think it will be great for the job? Just for cutting the length? My concern is not with saving $, I just want to use the best. Or do you have any other recommendations? Thank you.
Nicely done! I've learned to work with 2 mirrors, of course a wall mounted mirror and a smaller hand held mirror I angle to check on side views for a beard symmetrical as possible.
Sounds like you’re cutting with a razor that has multiple blades. May need to use a single blade as it will give you the cut you would need in the neckline without the ingrown hairs. Multiple blades on a razor will cut your hair at an angle and beneath the skin that it will cause ingrown hairs and irritation. Hope that helps
@@drewskiv686 I'm using a straight razor. Yet pimpled grow on my neck and under the chin (even if i dont touch this area). My main theory would be the skin on my face and neck is causing oil build up and is not at it's best condition.
the voice really kills everything else :D .. watched a few other beard videos .. volume was fine :D .. came to this one , and had to turn it down :D .. killer beard ofc :D jelly i cant grow that i can only rock the stash and a tee .. i was told tho that the less hair on top of the head = more beard growth .. u proved that theory wrong haha
Oh wow, this video is a lifesaver! I have that 'poof' that sticks down behind the front of my beard up front on my neck. Thanks for giving me PERMISSION to shave it, I didnt know if that was a mortal sin of growing a beard or not! Just trimmed that bit, feels and looks so much better! I used to have a longer beard, shaved it and starting over, so i'm just at 6 weeks now and yeah..none of that matters, thanks - love the video! :)

Sadly they don't dispatch to Germany so we pay over 200 euros. And the new zero blade is not available anywhere for the European market.
This guy sounds like a mix between Kermit the frog and John C Reilly and I absolutely love it

Fun fact me and John C. Reilly got the same birthday
THAT'S funny! It's very true.

I think this kind of trim is the one I've been waiting for. Trimming down the wispy bits on the sides without cutting off length.
Glad it can help!
-Ben
It's such a powerful trim that few will notice.
Same problem i have, bloody wispy bits.
Wispy bits and Tim bits, 2 things that cause issue for me 🤣
Eric before the trim - “What’s up on the other side of the internet”
Eric after the trim “It’s over anakin, I have the high ground”

I'd say 1:24 actually. For me, I like to hear the rationale behind the trim!
Eric out here lookin' like Obi-Wan Kenobi giving a beard trim tutorial.
Which Obi-Wan? Alec or Ewan?
I was thinking the same!

Foolproof tutorial to avoid those horrible beard accidents where you just trim too much ruining all the progress. Great one Eric!
After dozens of videos I'd seen about this topic during the last weeks, undoubtedly, this is the best of the kind I was looking for.
This is exactly what I’m looking for. My beard is at a similar length and I just picked up the Brio. Thanks for the tips!
May the Beard be with you.. always.
Thank you Eric for everything you do for us all! Love the info brother! Growing my first beard at 45 and couldn’t do it without
you guys!

The sad truth is, once started the only way to end is with a clean shave! For most of us.
I find that strangers make more eye contact with me when I have a short beard than with a long one. Much depends on how much you smile, though. Great beard trim and haircut.
Had my beard for years and I finally figured out. On how to trim my beard the way I like

Eric, just curious what speed you're cutting with on the beardscape?
I usually keep it on the slow speed because it does the job for me and helps the battery last even longer.
