A lot of dealerships all had my car in automatic, but almost none had a MT and they were backordered. Do you actually have any negotiating power on a limited supply/rare car?
Awesome questions, I haven't bought a car brand new before but I would imagine unless you've been goin to a specific dealership for a while and you have connections there that there's not much room for negotiating if the car has low supply and high demand.

That's a good question. I've gotten to a point where I can respect electric cars and I see why (mostly the comfort side) people like em, but a huge part of driving to me is the sound. I also like to help out people who don't know as much about cars and need advice for modding and buying certain fun cars so I enjoy talkin about ICE cars more. It's just my preference
@@LibertyDrives Electric cars are fun in a different way and have a unique sound of their own. They're not as quiet as people think. You can hear the motors when accelerating. The instant acceleration is something you can't appreciate until you feel it. It's like a roller coaster on tap.
Well I think the most realistic way to look at it would be that you could work throughout the school year if you're going to school and then work more in the summers, or work your butt off during the summers. If you really wanted that cash in lets say 3 years assuming a 13 week summer (leaving 35 weeks for work and 4 weeks for vacation, I can't remember how long most highschool summers are) then you could work 9 hours a week at $9/hr and make 3k throughout the school year. Then during the summer you could have the same job and work 21 hours for the $7k, or you could look for a higher paying seasonal job like landscaping to make more. You could also work more than 21 hours a week in the summer but you also want to enjoy your summers in hs so I'd say 21 is decent. And since standard deduction is around 10k (the amount of income that you don't have to pay taxes on), you wouldn't have to deduct much for taxes from whatever you make, you'd get most/all of it back also because you'd be a full time student. If you're not a full time student then it's really all about you're work situation and living situation. Either way if you're serious about it or just bein smart with money, I started using the Mint app (not sponsored lmfao) a few months ago and I put all my expenses and incomes in there to see how I cash flow each month. It could help you keep track of your progress and fix places where you're losing a lot of money along the way. A last bit of advice from me would be that, you can obviously do whatever you want, especially if you work for that car then big props to you, but I think if this $30k is for a car and you'll be less than 23 years old at that point, you can get a LOT of really awesome cars for less than 30k. Especially once markets go back down to normal, which has already been happening for a couple months, you'll definitely be able to find a nice car for 15-20k, and even good ones with good mileage for 10k. And if you save that extra 15k and get a 15k car, that can set you up for a lot of good stuff since you're so young and you worked so hard. You also need to keep in mind the cost of sales tax if there's that in your state, the probably 1-2k of insurance you'd pay a year on the car depending on your policy, and the cost of gas because every little thing adds up and you wouldn't want to work so hard for a specific car, then have to sell it cause the running costs are so much or something breaks. I get your drive though man, I'm only 22 and I've been into all this with my friends for years lol. Best of luck and sorry that was so damn long!😂😂
With $1,000 income, it all depends on your expenses. If you're living at home and don't have financial dependent things (kids, large expenses, college coming up, rent/mortage), then it'll be a lot easier for you. But assuming the $1,000 income is what you're saving, or even if you save $800, you could absolutely buy a used $3k car in a couple months. I would never recommend monthly payments, I can get into why if you want but otherwise I'll spare you from my opinions there😂. Until getting you're income up and if you're planning on attending college, I'd absolutely recommend getting the cheapest reliable car you can find and I know a good number for that is around $3k. Try facebook marketplace and check any used car dealerships near by. Also ask relatives and friends if anyone plans on upgrading their cars soon and would sell theirs to you. Just if you don't want to get monthly payments, please stick to that when you go to look at cars😂 It's easy to get over excited when you see it in front of you. Also make sure you've got at least $1k-$2k saved after the car and all expenses (sales tax, registration, title) in case anything on it breaks.
I have literally no idea about cars at all. But I have more than enough to buy one so I'm gonna cuz I gotta. Need to get my liscence to. The good thing is I used to illegally drive a car my grandpa bought for me (2k), but I smashed it while driving sleepy. Lol.
Jesus man😂 Good for you for havin enough, idk your situation but maybe don't go too wild on price just cause you can. And maybe keep things legal from now on😬😂 Be safe out there
Hey man, what do you need the $30k by 16 for if you don't mind me askin? If you work full-time throughout 3 summers and part-time throughout the school years, if you're in school, and you save your money then that is very possible. You could also find a job for the summers that's more labor intense so it pays better and that would help out a lot.
@@N.I.K.O.S-u8j Ooooooo those are wild. I don't know you're situation but if I'm brutally honest, I feel like you shouldn't be spending 30k on any car when you're 16. That's awesome that you're looking at how to make it happen and maybe you're really ready to put in that work but I'd suggest getting maybe a different gen camaro for cheaper or some other model that you still really like but that maybe isn't as collectible. Unless you end up with a great income that young somehow and you've easily got the money for it, that's a lot of money and you'd never want to have so much of your net worth tied up into a car. It's you're life though obviously and totally you're move (I know you didn't even ask for my opinion lol, sorry if this is too much), but I'd just hate to hear that you saved up all that money and then had to sell the car to afford something else you needed at that point or if you couldn't afford repairs if something went wrong
@@N.I.K.O.S-u8j Your first car should be MAX $10k. Something that can get you around and stuff. When you have a full time job, you can start saving your money (since you will be earning much more) and you'll get 30k in no time!

Buy a cheap car and weave and drift it’s worth it. Driving a regular car or a car you don’t want to fuck uo will be so much more worth it.
And maybe keep things legal from now on😬😂 Be safe out there
I'm 13 no job and I need $30,000 usd by 16
Hey man, what do you need the $30k by 16 for if you don't mind me askin? If you work full-time throughout 3 summers and part-time throughout the school years, if you're in school, and you save your money then that is very possible. You could also find a job for the summers that's more labor intense so it pays better and that would help out a lot.
@@LibertyDrives its a 1979 camaro Z28
@@LibertyDrives you're totally right
@@N.I.K.O.S-u8j Your first car should be MAX $10k. Something that can get you around and stuff. When you have a full time job, you can start saving your money (since you will be earning much more) and you'll get 30k in no time!
Don’t you need car insurance. I know some dealerships you need to have car insurance before you get a car. Is some dealerships different? 🫠
Car insurance are very important when purchasing your first car
