    Absolute 5 stars. Shoes tutorials are rare, and often long and complicated. You made it seem so simple and relaxing to create!
    i always wondered what rule(s) dictate how you modify a shoe for the different sizes. I mean, it's not just a scale, certain parts are longer but not all. If you know?

    • @blueinversion
      @blueinversion  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks sir! It is always a delight to see your comment in my notifications :) As far as I know, which is very little for shoes, they have size ratings and width ratings. Like men usually wear D width while women use B width. Other than that, though I might be wrong, I guess a good shoe is one that fits. So, in order to have the right shoe for, let's say a character, we can model the feet first. Make it anatomically correct, including how increase in size affects the proportions and then make the shoe on and around that that feet. I remember seeing this done somewhere for shoe modelling. Can't really put my finger on it but yeah, this would be my take.
      Happy blending,

      Hi Pavel, it's my bad. I see I have made a bad jump cut during the editing process. Basically what I skipped is: You have to plug the "Principled BSDF" output into the "Surface" socket. I did it quickly using node wrangler shortcuts. Hope it helps you out. Let me know if you are still having any problems! Thanks for watching ;)

    Master, I have different areas on the surface of quarter and tongue (10:00). When I change y,z (scale), I change texture of one area (other areas don't change). These areas have the border. I mean my quarter and tongue are not homogeneous. It have different sizes.
    PS I dont forget we use box instead flat

    • @blueinversion
      @blueinversion  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Sayan, please help - what do you do on a 20:09 min to observe the effect properly (when black and white grid changes to normal view, white)

    • @blueinversion
      @blueinversion  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes sorry for the jump cut there, what I do is: Connect the principled BSDF output to the material output node (surface socket). What I was doing earlier, i.e. black and white grid is I was isolating the wave texture to a viewer node using a node wrangler addon feature, for getting a better view.

    Can use color ramp to convert roughness map to specular?

    • @blueinversion
      @blueinversion  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mostly yes, because generally the specular map is just a high contrast version of the roughness map. But if you are going for closeup shots of highly reflective surfaces like varnished wood, floors, smartphone surfaces then I recommend making separate images for each map. Most texture sites provide separate maps by default so it is not a big issue these days. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching! ;)

Used checker select and pushed the alternate vertices inside. You can otherwise UV unwrap and manually add the stitch marks in texture paint mode." I felt like making more videos to this series would get lengthy and boring for most. So I decided to keep it to 3 videos. If you have any more queries please let me know. Thanks.
