One thing I love about Gambit is that he is blatantly unashamed of pretty much everything he does. Including his attraction to Rogue (which is obvious from day one)
Gambit being an associate of Magneto in this show was an interesting take on his character
Gambit was cool in Evolution, though I never understood why he defended Magneto and willingly went along with the stuff he was doing.
Gambit was always a mercenary. I wager Magneto made him a good offer.

@@Tsexe07 that actually would make sense. in the animated series the dude literally goes to war to protect his family n if it meant fighting on the opposite side due to Magneto using Colossus' family as leverage yea ur damn right he's goin to do wat he's told otherwise Magneto likely kill his family.
@@Machete87 Colossus told Wolverine that he wasn't serving Magneto willingly and he didn't have a choice, and then when Colossus got sick of Magneto he replied something like "Harm me and you'll never see your family again". That's why after Apocalypse "killed" Magneto, Colossus left the Acolytes.

Oh my god did not expect him . Thank you so much for making a video with him . Hands down the best version of animated gambit , and the most handsome one. My favorite version . I’m still surprised that they did not brought him to fight Apocalypse

People don't realize how powerful Gambit really is. At his full power he's an omega level mutant. His alternate universe Gambit with full powers beat the Phoenix of his world solo no tricks. Think about that. Then the main universe Gambit beat him and is canon to be even more powerful than him and a better connection to his powers. Gambit just chooses not to because he's afraid of what he could. Some of the things full powered he can do is pretty much the MCU Captain Marvel all her powers, plus kinetic telekinesis, and control time, and make people stop or go example like Professor X did in the X2, dimensional travel, healing, and fully control energy even in organics without touch so all he'd have to do is look and literally blow you up and can control how long or a time blast also how powerful the explosion, telepathy and touch based power protection and more. Dude is an example beast

@@Zistheone2That was PIS. He cant charge that large of an object. He cant charge a tank let alone charge that massive tri-sentinel that whooped Magneto. And Sebastian Shaw shouldnt have died there, he's an omega class energy absorber.
HAD the potential, not anymore. Mr. Sinister removed that from him permanently. New Sun was the alternate Gambit you're talking about. And yeah he defeated the Phoenix and Apocalypse of his universe.
@@IStevenSeagal Actually he can. He used his powers he didn't know he had and went back in time before Sinister was evil and still human Essex and got him to reattach that part of his brain. It's how he defeated New Sun and New Sun is the one who said Gambit of the main universe is even more powerful and connected naturally to his powers than him. He has the power fully now he just got tired and strained fighting New Sun.
Also as much as I like Magneto he'd get absolutely wrecked.
Again at full power Gambit has literally all the powers of powers of MCU Captain Marvel including the turning into an energy being, energy blasts, strength, flight, speed etc.
Healing factor aka also no aging
Kinetic kinesis aka telekinesis
Can control lots of forms of energy including mutant energy, magic energy, time
Can take energy from places so can do like Iceman and freeze things by taking energy from the area or Thermo blasts by heating things up
Can control potential energy so can make objects including people stop unable to move or continueously move
Complete kinetic energy control so he doesn't have to touch just look and can literally make people explode or do like timed detonations also how powerful the blast or energy put into it is. Go from just knocking someone out or again making them explode
All his continuous energy output like Magneto makes like a bio field except Gambit's is stronger and protects from touch based powers and telepath powers.
Lastly he can charge large objects because sadly what main Gambit fears happened with New Sun who by accident when he was younger and couldn't control his powers literally blew up his planet.
@@brandontrammel4581 What you're describing is not a permanent thing, kinda like how a writer once made Hulk TOAA or Franklin Richards not being a mutant, or Thor having Jean Grey as his mother. Those are one time nonsensical stories from writers trying to go an extra mile. According to Marvel's hierarchy they classed Gambit as level 3 and Magneto as level 6. New Sun would've been a different case as he was able to beat the Phoenix and Apocalypse(both classed as level 8).

Sadly yes, his Cajun accent is lacking but his French makes up for it.

@@xiayabennett6982seeing how he does join the x men along with colossus in the future make it more puzzling plus he was part of the original team to stop apocalypse under magneto and it seems he serve magneto willingly as he went to keep the brotherhood in check and he wasn't bride like colossus to serving him so I think he would like to save his old boss plus rogue could have convinced him to help out since he own her one

The adults got the short end of the stick compared to the teens. Case in point, Gambit. Assuming he's not a dropout, he's an adult, and thus his relationship with Rogue is shallow, and he feels underused.
If they had been given a season 5, he would have gotten more use. Same with Colussus who probably would have gotten a storyline about freeing his sister Illyana.

Im currently rewatching this series after watching x men 97 after seeing How they did gambit here I think I’ll just drop the show and watch the 1994 version
Check out Wolverine and the X-Men. it's a good show, and Gambit was very interesting there in my opinion.

This show was always enjoyed. Online it got smack for people who did not like the X-Men actually being in school and fans of X-Men the Animated Series who would not take off their nostalgia glasses.

Rogue is 17-18(s3 - s4) gambit is 19 - 20 (s4) it’s not that bad 1-2 yr age gap

Why is his eyes sometimes black and red, and then others are white and brown?
In his first appearance in the season 2 finale, he was animated with white sclera and brown pupils. From season 3 onward, they went with the comic accurate black sclera and red pupils.

My only two complaints about this version of Gambit is, that horrible bowl cut, and two he wasn’t in it enough. I would have loved for him to be in that final battle with Apocalypse! Oh well otherwise he was a great Gambit!

I find out what's wrong they sometimes get Gambit eyes wrong for giving him full white normal looking eyes instead of the red and black look I know the X-Men 90's had the same issues
The normal eyes was just for his first appearance in the Season 2 finale

Actually it's kind of correct. With his back story they just changed the Team he was in. His original story he was apart of the Meraudures with Mr. sinister until he seen what was going on and thus Turning on me sinister and the X-men Took gambit in. He was never a Villain just in the wrong place not having a Healthy Up bringing. He Eventually sees his true Ways. Both in this Tv show and in the Comics. By then end of it. Especially after Cajun Spice episode with Rogue and Gambit in New Orleans he officially changed his Ways After that. You can see him with the x-men in the final Photo shot the Final Episode. And rogue is wearing his coat in a vision that Xavier had. He was never a Villain just made bad mistakes in his past life. As of the new comic issues of 2024 he Sacrificed himself to save The world and Mystique and the X-men.
