Like for X-Men Evolution and even Wolverine and the X-Men to have a rogue where she didn’t have strength or flight and still be a capable person is just sad and I don’t blame Anna I blame the directors and writers for acting like they didn’t know what to with her and Rogue is such a good character that it makes no sense how they did her. @@christoperomanito7969 when she touches someone, she gains their abilities and memories, but in doing so, she also ends up draining them in a sense where the people she touches run out of stamina, she could potentially kill someone doing this if she just kept hold of them

This was absolutely the best version of Rogue I had ever seen. Uses her main powers more often and offensively. Her character felt more developed and relatable. And best of all, this version shows exactly why she’s a force to be reckoned with, and even showed more of her potential. She was easily one of the most important characters on the show. More important than Cyclops, Jean Grey, and many others.
She was the badass that defeated Apocalypse, so yeah...

I just realized how Rogue is able to use other people's powers so quickly. Because she gets their experiences with their powers from their memories and knows how to use them from that. Something I literally just realized.

The second time she tapped into storms powers later in the series, even then she had trouble, but she was far more of a force to be reckoned with

Mr NOTME For me X-Men evolution is the best because it went a different route and then most of the other X-Men universes together. She had a crush on Scott and I loved that. From what I have read The director actually was going to have Scott and Rogue end up together in season six but season six sadly never happened.

The 90s X-Men series and the X-Men evolution series did Rogue's character better than the movies did period.
That's cuz rogue has the potential to be to powerful and outshine everyone else. In the movies before when they way trying to push wolverine as the face of the franchise they didn't want rouge to outshine him. But now with the hole feminist movement thing there trying to push. There best change to push a female lead and make it believable is to redo rogue and do her right this time. That's what I'm hoping there going to do rogue had always been my favorite X-Men and if there going to force feed me a feminist agenda I'd rather it be rogue there trying to force down my throat.

Here's something funny I noticed. In the animated series where Rogue is already super strong, she almost never uses her absorbing abilities, relying on brute force and durability.
In this show however, Rogue doesn't have any super powers, so she's relying in her absorbing ability. (And she's actually a force to be recon with, maybe even bigger than her super strong counterpart, I mean, she at one point became a one-mutant army, possesing powers of most powerful mutans at once. I mean, it is kind of badass and terryfying.)

Yeah. That's what annoyed me about the 90s version. Super strength and flight is the most bland and uninteresting powerset ever. I found her actual power much more interesting, maybe even the most interesting out of all the team. That's part of why evolution is my favorite version.

One of them is Jean. In the animated series her powers and combat abilities are quite underwhelming. Her shields are easy to break and her levitating muscle is only 1/8 of Rogue's strength.
In evolution Jean is on the same level like the others. I would even say that she has become one of the strongest members ever since her powers increased (which was cool since attaining it come with cool scenes where she wreck entire school).
That wasn't her power. She stole it from Ms Marvel when she was still under Mystique's thumb. Rogue did that to Carol as a teenager and Carol had been in a coma for *years* after it.

This is possibly my favorite version of Rogue to date. Her looks, attitude, abilities, they all work together so well. I'm not usually into goths but Rogue is an exception. She is my #1 favorite girl from this show, with Wanda (Scarlet Witch) being 2nd. :)

I will never ever ever get over the fact that they basically screwed over Rogue (and Gambit) in the film versions. And it's not like they're B-side characters that people easily forget about...they're fan favorites, both as individuals and as a couple!
Outside of the comics the cartoon versions of their characters is the best we're gonna get.

It is very strange that in 20 years of X-Men movies, we have never so much as seen Rogue and Gambit onscreen together. They're easily one of the most popular couples in all of the Marvel Universe. Just goes to show the lack of respect Fox had for the source material. Oh, well. Now that Marvel owns the rights again, maybe we will finally see them in live action.

This rogue is just perfect with her powers and her not trusting the X-Men right away made so much sense it was just amazing and omg the episode with her getting all the memories of everyone she absorbed stuck in her head this rogue went through so much! The episode where Rogue loses control is when I realized how truly terrifying she could be.
Just imagine if, alongside Multiple and Mystique’s powers, she also used everyone’s else, especially from big hitters like Storm, Juggernaut and Magneto. She could easily create an entire army of extremely powerful mutants.

The reason why rogue is my favorite X-man is because one she is incredibly powerful and has a really cool ability, but the main part is because she has a weak more realistic side to her, and she doesn’t just have overwhelming power that she uses carelessly because ever time she uses them she gives a part of herself, but despite having such a stressful power she still willingly uses it to help people

My favorite part of this arc is 14:29 when Toad says “I hate this part”. I haven’t made an official count but I’m pretty sure that Toad has the largest count of experiencing Rogue’s power.
X-men evolutions Rogue was my favorite version of the character. The 90s version has an iconic aesthetic, but they never used her actual powers like this one. Super strength and flight is the most bland and uninteresting powerset ever. I found her actual powers much more interesting, maybe even the most out of the team. It also did a better job of delving into her character and what someone like her would really be like.

Hope agreed and did the spell with Scarlet. Yes Rouge can asorb Scarlet magic. She already did it before.
@ÆGON THE GAMER Why don't you go read the comics. Scarlet only faced tiny fragments of the Phoenix focre. Those tiny fragments are not full force nor compares to Jeam as Phoenix. Scarlet fans are so quick to say Scarlet defeated Phoenix force, which she did not and couldn't do the spell without the Phoenix host permission. Even if she does do the spell it wont work on the Phoenix. That why Hope as Phoenix was able bring back mutants. Rouge has already asorb Scarlet powers including her magic. As I said the writers used an excuse that Rouge doesnt have imagination to use magic, which is stupid. Now all sudenlly she has Apocalypse magic and his powers after killing him. The current Rouge has gotten stronger now compared to her previous versions. Rouge even killed Scarlet before. Scarlet lucky Rouge forgaved her.
This honestly is the best version of Rogue
What's good about her is that she has excellent backstory, characteristics, and her OP abilities is held back by her power drawbacks
She is just really amazing. Being able to take peoples powers and immediately using them with out training or anything is quite the skill. She is such a big part of X-men and they really sold her short in the movies. She was such a relatable under dog. She wasn’t the typical Jean Grey girly girl that is conventionally attractive is smart has good powers AND gets the guy. She couldn’t come in physical contact with ANYONE! Do you know how alone she must feel. And then forget Jean where she only hears everyone’s thoughts, how about multiple people inside of you trying to take control. There memory’s switching in and out so you can barely even tell your own memory’s from theirs. I mean it was such a missed chance not put her as a main character in the live action. She is hands down my favorite marvel hero

That control and the accumulative powers were and adaptation they did from the classic. On Classic X-men she didn't have the control, like when she absorved gambit, she kept charging everything she touched and the powers didn't 'stay inside'. On the other hand, the classic she had Carol powers of Strengh and Flight, so it was a good diference of character

I really like Evolution version of Rogue and Logan more. She is always smart in using her powers even before getting flight ability and super straight. Even Login wasn't into romantic triangle which showed more into his character and how he treats everyone.

Well this story took place before that but it sets up how that becomes part of her lore excellently. I'll always love Rogue using her own powers but the whole thing with Carol is iconic to me for Rogue's character.

Am I the ONLY one here who feels that the animation style used for this series is WAY BETTER than the one used for 'Wolverine and the X-Men', not to mention the impressive variety in uniform designs and colors?! According to website I came across some years back, Rogue's uniform color/design was based off the sin of Envy, which is kind of fitting (you know WHY)!😐

The way this show had Apocalypse revive himself by taking control of Rogue to steal everyone's powers so he could then steal the powers from Rogue was very clever and so much better than the crappy live action movie.

My favorite character in X-Men Evolution. I was always a Wolverine and Cyclops fan since they were the ones I first recognize because of those Marvel vs Capcom games. But man, they really showed some love to the other characters in X-Men Evolution. And Rogue's no exception. Everyone had their shining moment every now and then. It's just sad they cancelled it after defeating Apocalyse. They were suppose to dive in to the Phoenix Saga arc.

"Self Possessed" is my favorite episode of this series! Too bad Rogue never touched Scarlet Witch w/o being controlled and use her probability powers against her.
She did in the show and used it to stop Quicksilver from running. She did it in the comics but the writers all suddenly says oh Rouge not creative enough to use Wanda powers.
Yeah, but Rogue is being possessed by Mesmero at the time, so it's really not Rogue using Wanda's powers.

So she can absorb anyone's ability and then absorb Mystique's shapeshifing, and then turn into a mutant while having their ability.
Rogue is a completely unused character in older versions of xmen movies. She is actually a much stronger and much more interesting character than in the movie

Dwayne mcCartney I know what her powers are she’s been my favorite xman since I was in middle school. I’ve read a few of her comics too just didn’t know she could use other ppl powers to their fullest potential. That’s a new one I’ve heard.
