This is such a cute endearing anecdote. Imagine legend Ian macKaye keeping your letter after all these years and texting you the photo of it coz you’re friends ❤
I was recently pretty excited to come across a letter I got from Ian back in 86. He was really kind about writing, and even about phone calls. Such a nice guy. And Dave is beyond nice. I'm so glad success found these guys. It's crazy to think that what we were doing back then was anything anybody was paying attention to except for some disaffected teenagers. There was honesty in our dissent, and a new world was born.
this band is a really good band im sad i never heard about them and never bought guitar hero 2 on the 360 before they removed the music which saddens me but im glad clone hero exists so i can enjoy their music on it
+This name is either restricted, too long, or contains too many invalid characters. Why? Just because they are hugely popular? Whether you like them or not, if you like music you have to admit they write some incredibly catchy tunes. I mean they really do.

How cute is this story? Never dismiss the really small things.
Like so cute and endearing 🥰
He’s not a collector. He’s an archivist of the DC scene.
I always like seeing Pat Smear.....even when he says Nothing....as usual lol
He is vibing
Dave is the boss, you know. No one dares to speak.
I have 10 postcards from Ian. Been keeping in touch since 1995.
Ian does not consider himself a "collector". He considers himself an "archivist". Those are Ian's words, not mine.
I kind of love the idea of Dischord putting out a Foo Fighters single.
Dave finally looks like he is aging. LOL I was starting to think he was a vampire or something.
Chris J he looks exhausted
Dude, if I do made an album for Dischord records? I would never leave the label again.
These guys are cooler than the other side of the pillow!!
Going by recent news, I think Dave is already in enough trouble having his 7" out there, tbf.

And Kurt Cobain sent Christmas cards to the members of Killing Joke.

Fugazi: Underrated. Foo Fighters and Nirvana: Overrated as fuck, they never really made good music.
starlite walker music is subjective, so I appreciate your opinion, but I enjoy Foo and Nirvana respectively :)
starlite walker your jedi mind trick wont work here friend.
Girly men
God, the Foo Fighters disappearing off the face of the planet would be the greatest gift to the human race since air.
Really? Why do you say this? Why not iggy azaela and nicki minaj, all those pop bitches with no real talent?
