That story Taylor told about watching Radiohead write 'OK Computer' in soundchecks is golden interview material. Well done for drawing that out of him, Gary. You seemed to let the two of them just run wild with topics - it worked out really well.
I am so glad Nate mentioned the idea that lyrically this could be plagiarism. That was something that was making me so nervous about this album. They were very aware the lines not to cross.
I get you Taylor. You can hear when bands don't gel, you can hear when they hate each other, you can hear when they're pre-maddonnas. If you know what you're listening too, you can hear it all, including when a band is recording tracks one at a time passing the shit around. It's sad really.
Animal is from Jim Henson's Muppets lol. But I would say he looks more like Oscar the Grouch if we're talking Sesame Street haha i'm just kidding I love Taylor too!! Besides he can't be Animal, that is Dave's "spirit animal" LOL
We saw Pat and Chris, Dave was not doing press that day, but our sit down interview was only with Nate and Taylor - Very chilled, very cool. Thanks again for the support, mate.
Here we are in 2014 and some people think U2 have anything to prove , the U2 members are in 55 years old guys have already had 20s,30s,40s, I remember Dave Grolh nose picking on the drummer of Nirvana to show their rebellion at same time U2 crowded stadiums a time that was still special crowded stadiums, before the gay era of "make me a like" and "views", a era that Dave and the Foos love it, the social networks "make me a like", a bit gay for me but who cares. You have to talk to legends to attack U2 man a Page,a Plant ,a Townshend , not this bugs.
So Taylor did not like Gil Norton's work producing Echoes, SIlence, Patience, & Grace. I heard things were really tough recording with Gil on The Colour & the Shape.
I would somehow agree, all the songs are awesome to listen to on a computer but live only a few songs from thoose albums sounds like it "should"/ how the computer version sounds. The difference with wasting ligths is that every song sounds even better live!

Nate's such an intelectual and they both are freaking awesome. Loved this!
He watched Ok Computer come to fruition. I literally could never even fathom asking for more than that.
Nate aged well
Dude, Taylor's got stuff to say. We need to focus on him more. There's stuff not being said and I wanna hear it!!

Such an awesome interview!!!!!!
Thanks so much mate.
i love everything about this
hahahaha Nate: "Jawbreaker dick!"
that was hilarious I could tell he did that on purpose lol
Great interview, great questions
Great interview with original and interesting questions !
Great interview. Foo Fighters seem like funny, down-to-earth guys. I think Taylor Hawkins is morphing into Animal from Sesame Street. ('Love him!)

Dave Obsessed - LOL!
Good interview , wish I could see more of it
Thanks Jean - Did you have a problem viewing it?
No prob viewing ... Wished it was longer lol. Rare to see the two together alone in interview. Did you get to sit with any of the others?
We saw Pat and Chris, Dave was not doing press that day, but our sit down interview was only with Nate and Taylor - Very chilled, very cool. Thanks again for the support, mate.
Great interview Gary!
Thanks my bro!
Great interview, Gary Cool.
Love it (obvious jealousy but still love it) - Thank you. You make us proud :)
Thanks so much Claire, that means so much.
Subscribe and spread the word!
great interview!
Good stuff here. Best part?: Drunk. Drummer. Oh, and 15:40...best fuckin' story EVER.
I know and I never knew that!! That is so awesome, I loved OK computer!!
Foo Fighters in my hotel room
They are always funny.
I'm surprised with how unhappy they were with Echoes Silence Patience and Grace. I always thought that Dave liked working with Gil Norton.
so good
I envy you, Gary. :(
Thanks mate, it was a great moment. Thanks for sharing it dude. Stay well. G
Loving their new song "Something from Nothing" Foo Fighters - Something From Nothing #SonicHighways is going to be their best album yet.
Lol not a good prediction
It might be because it's late and I'm tired, but I'm struggling to get what Taylor meant when he mentioned Linkin Park recording on tape as well :P
Linkin Park are known for their "modern" production approach, relying very heavily on digital tools and new technologies :-)

6:42 that's very true lol

he surprised me with such criticism..did he said there's only a couple of great songs on that record? I couldn't really understand
Yeah, that's what he said. Taylor, I guess, didn't really like that album. :-/ i love it!
I would somehow agree, all the songs are awesome to listen to on a computer but live only a few songs from thoose albums sounds like it "should"/ how the computer version sounds. The difference with wasting ligths is that every song sounds even better live!
jajajaja, Taylor doesn't even know the name of the "echos" album
Danger Head HAHAHAHAHAHA
What song plays at the beginning?
All My Life
Is Taylor high here?
Taylors a little drunk it seems haha
