FIXED! Dunno why this guy tells us to use exactly what's NOT working to fix it. lolz.
I went to settings/apps/gboard and hit ENABLE. I think I accidentally disabled this not knowing what it was.

One fix is to make sure GBOARD is enabled. SETTINGS/APPS/GBOARD
I only run the original keyboard and by enabling it, my issue was resolved.

Mind was simply poking around and changing height and backgrounds and it showed.
Or literally just change the setting from "landscape" to "auto rotate" rotate your screen

I am not normally this harsh and mean, but someone has to say it:
This video is obsolete and not possible. If you do not have a keyboard, you can NOT use a keyboard to find a keyboard. Impossible!!!
Instead, first restart your phone. If the keyboard is still missing (and you can touch things on your phone) go to settings. Then go to system, click languages, then a few lines down click on keyboards. Make sure it is visible.
This info is for my Android/smart phone (T-Mobile Revvl 6 pro). Yours may vary just a bit.
But hope my info works for you and helps.
