Did exactly this. Came to the conclusion that it is only the TH-cam application where the keyboard will encounter functionality problems. All other applications which run the android keyboard are unaffected. This has persisted on the TH-cam application for the last 8 months and after 2 dozen reports sent, they still ignore the issue which is most likely a simple bug fix. This is a TH-cam problem with the keyboard, not a phone UI problem.
Yea your conclusion has confirmed my theory as well. Because before sure my keyboard is buggy n doesn't wanna work well but after I fixed it the rest of the apps work exept for yt 😞
I patiently waited 30+ seconds to type this out to you and tell you that you're not alone.
What I do now is sometimes type what I want into my Notes app and then paste in into TH-cam. Do your comments ever turn to black font while you're typing then, obscuring what your type and not allowing you to proofread, like it is happening to me right now as I type this?
Same issue on my note 8 android phone it only freezes up on TH-cam comments section but works fine everywhere else I shouldn't have to buy a new cell phone it's absolute garbage it took me awhile to get it to work just to make this comment!
@@casmartin790 yes, the same exact issue you have described in your comment happens as well. It happens less than normal, but still occurs once every 20 or attempts to comment on something. What will happen is when the comment box comes up, it will flash the keyboard like it's ready and just disappear leaving a black box that will still output keystroke clicks if you touch that keyboard area that has disappeared. Other times it just locks up and the whole thing disappears. Billion dollar company, some of the most worthless developers.
After a week of clearing caches, downloading virus checkers, etc etc you just confirmed it only happens on TH-cam app. 😮

Omg!!! Thanks alot... Somehow my keyboard turned back to the samsung default keyboard, which I hate!!!... So I was tryin to find what happen... Then I found it video and u mention GBoard... With that said, that helped me switch it back to the way I wanted it to be ... The Gboard way ... Thanks a Million!!!

It's only 1 key on my Gboard that's not working. It literally just started 10 mins ago out of NOWHERE!! I was trying to type a question that began with the letter "D" and then when I tried to press any letter after that, nothing would happen; it's like the writing just stopped for 5 or 10 seconds. Then all the letters would would flood in that I had typed seconds B4. At 1st I thought it was a temporary glitch, but it keeps doing it & only when I type the letter "D." I don't understand why it's that 1 particular letter. It had been showing no signs of this until 30mins ago. So how I have to uninstall the keyboard & reinstall it?? BTW, I have a Motorola Stylus 5G.

Hi my problem is the Gboard keyboard is covering my page too tall. Even in the shortest setting in Gboard preferences. So I can't see alive video and make a comment bc my keyboard blocks the page and I can't even see the arrow to send the comment it's so annoying I don't understand why it's so tall in the smallest setting help

This certainly got me on the right path.
I went in to the Gboard app after trying your first suggestion unsuccessfully, and just pressed 'uninstall updates'. It warned me that it would return to the factor version and I clicked okay. The keyboard is now working fine and I can write this comment! Thanks again 😊

All I had to to was clear the data think goodlocks theam Park buggered it up! I've been using Samsung board for years so it's what I'm used to! The second layout with

ok tbh iv noticed tat on my A23 onwy wen im playing on avakin life tat my keybord at random dumbass times my keybord will pop up and as soon as it dose the keybord will dissapper and the txt bar stays up for how ever stupidwy long it wants as if the keybords lagging out or some B.S and iv noticed its onwy avakin tat my phone dose it wifs..alsu my daughter said she has the same issue 2 and idrk if its the keybord itself or if its just avakin mybe but wtf it ish its annoying ass B.S and irdk how ta fix the issue.....anyone els have the same annoying issue??
