    Hi Matt, it's me Richard Reandeau, sorry I haven't talked to you in a while, I just wanted to let you know that I made applesauce like you showed in the video and it came out perfect, what I do when I make applesauce is I put a teaspoon each of the following, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves, my sister and my nephew tried it and they loved it, keep those videos coming, have a nice weekend and i'll talk to you another time

    Instead of sugar I used honey and it was fabulous. Used the food processer and fed it to the toddler and no sugar rush. The honey and cinnamon made my house smell like heaven.

    Hey Matt ☺️
    Great recipe! We're very fond of apple sauce in France 😉 I love making it too and also love it on the chunkier side! And sometimes I like eating it, adding a couple table spoons of plain yogurt. Since the apple sauce is already sweet, I don't add any more sugar and it's delicious! A specially if the apple sauce is still hot and the yogurt makes it just the right temperature to eat it right away 😋 it's so yummy!
    Take care! ☀️

    He could of used a funnel when putting it in mason jars

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not unless it is a special jar funnel. Normal funnels have too small of holes.

  • @dragons8822

    Also looks like you like it on the runny side, not thick at all. Why not use a funnel so you don't keep getting it all over.

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is plenty thick, if you want it thicker you can easily cook it longer.

    • @dononeal3313
      @dononeal3313 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After I cook my apples I just ladle some of the juice off before blending it, that way it is thicker

    Most people are allergic to cinnamon. "There is a broad range of cinnamon substitutes, such as allspice, cardamom, nutmeg, mace, ground cloves, ginger, anise, vanilla extract or vanilla beans, and more." By John Staughton (BASc, BFA) last updated - February 02, 2020

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No, that is incorrect. While cinnamon allergies are probably the most common spice allergies, "most" people are not allergic to it. But here is a simple solution, if you are allergic, don't use it! :) Also those substitutes don't tase like cinnamon, sorry to say. But you can certainly use whatever spices that you want. www.healthline.com/health/cinnamon-allergy "Spice allergies make up about 2 percent of allergies" 2 percent is not "Most". And another quote "A small percentage of people experience an allergic reaction after ingesting or coming into contact with cinnamon"
