Brilliant silage video!! Unlucky with the drop of rain!! And pity about the 📱😬, a least if someone wants to buy silage off ye, they can contact the pit directly for availability 🤔👊🏻
What came across for us is how much you miss Uncle Ian. No doubt this will be a difficult year of "firsts" without him in the farming calendar. We're glad you are able to hold on to those happy memories formed as he imparted knowledge to you over the years, may they bring you peace as your family continues to heal from your loss. Thanks for sharing those moments with us.
Pity about the phone. If you've an alarm set for the morning wake up and hang around to hear it. You'll only get the one chance if my battery is anything to go by 😅. Hope you get it! Metal detector being another option 😂.
As I started watching the video I thought of your Uncle Ian god bless him. As you said he taught you an awful lot and they are great memories to have. I’m sure you’ll do him proud on the pit.
You've a lot to answer for! Watching you tidying up decided to wash the 135 and some paint come off the cab and it was blue underneath!! Devastated ever since 😂
Love to see nelly the dog doing quality control over the silage pit, and hopefully the silage preserve your phone for winter when you're ready for feeding the cow's.
Make a sweet job there Phil. Shame about your Phone. Uncle Iain would be proud of you making a good job of the pit. You have some big boots to fill there mate. But you are doing a grand Job. Good Luck.
Great stuff... Phil if you get half an hour. Could you cut off that broken bar on top of the fork and weld in a bit of box. I know it's contrary but tis driving me mad looking at it.
Commiserations on the Phone, Very personel, especially as I do, having everything on the phone now, Great Video as usual. Nice Pit, tiedup well. Dont know how you have time to go for a few loads when on the Pit. I worked for a contractor for years as did my brother but we could swap Pit and drawing every now and again, gives a better perspective as to what has to go in the pit.
I feel your pain re. The phone, glad to know that I was not the only one who lost my phone in a pit of silage, have a new one since Friday, most of my numbers are gone ( hadn’t backed it up since I got it probably) retrieved what I could from the cloud but loads missing, luckily the cards , licence are in wallet so at least that headache can be avoided. Sadly that’s the second one I have lost to silage years ago I baled one in a silage bale an old Nokia, we could hear it ringing in the middle of the stack but what could you do? ( 4 high ) incidentally it was never seen again!
And so farmer Phil’s phone fell out of the loading shovel and so it got Lost in the pit and so he was looking for it and could find it and so he had to carry on cause silage doesn’t stop for nothing. And so starts the process of getting another phone and cards etc and so the moral of the story. Don’t let Phillip have his phone on the pit 😂😂👍. Great video 👌 silly season has started 🤪
Loving the music to this video. Excellent silage video Phil. It take me back to when I was doing Silage, same 2 jobs as you Phil. Loved the black massey stalling 😂, we've all done it 👍
Super video as always phil, Must be hard on ya death is very final hope your dad is keeping OK he must miss ian a hell of alot they were fair close, Heads up and look forward phil & family,,..
The phone is a sickener, put two phones and a wallet out the back window of a tractor last summer, both phones went through a mower/conditioner and the wallet went through a baler. Never learned my lesson to close the back window on steep hills and bumpy ground
Class job Phil. Footage with the 360 camera on the 2725 was brilliant. Losing the phone would fairly sicken you alright. Had you find my iPhone? That sends an alert to phone without signal required!!🙈 Lost mine in a cheese making machine once (dont ask) & we found it with that.
Great 👍 watching Phil weren't the grass men who could help love was done it myself many years back I was 16 years old I was contract farming I had a ford can't remember make it had a Lambourn cab
Great video Phil I lost a phone in a pit as well years ago got out on top of pit to look at the radiator on the Volvo as I was waiting on loads put phone on the back weight a load came in jumped in reversed down then taught on phone never found it 😂
Just an idea Phil, could you try find the phone by getting someone in with a powerful metal detector, would that not find it, I know its a couple weeks since you filmed but at least you would have it back and also be sure that you dont end up with metal through the silage if your phone went through the Keenan
Sooo, my eyes spotted a digger behind the meal shed working along, machinery shed next? ;) Also, love the silage videos, did Father Phil get along with the spout on the harvester this year? :)
Ask father Phil to tell the history of the ESB on your land. I know the farmers did not want poles in their fields. I hear stories it took 5 mile of cable to 1 mile of distance lol
You find ph in bits in winter. We had a man in doing slurry one year. His brother lost his mobile phone in slurry tank. Found in bits in silage fiel next summer
Phil unlucky with your phone m8 missed live and Robert carting this time bet Father Phil enjoyed covering the new massey in grass George will have to stay alert
Hi Phil. Well a real up and down video from you. The grass looked really good, one question , I notice that your chop length is quite long, is that because of the time that it will be in the animals digestive system ? The down is, the sorry loss of your phone, anyway vey good video. A T B Clifford
Wouldn’t it be great if Claas offered father Phil a demo forager , your uncle Ian was a great mentor , have a safe n trouble free silage season 👍👍
7:30 that black Massey got well covered, extra load back to the yard 🤣
Brilliant silage video!! Unlucky with the drop of rain!! And pity about the 📱😬, a least if someone wants to buy silage off ye, they can contact the pit directly for availability 🤔👊🏻
😂😂

Great video Phil we are starting lifting next week a few hundred acres
But we have 20 Acres of maize to sow first 😗😗 (mad year so far)

Hi Phil. Well a real up and down video from you. The grass looked really good, one question , I notice that your chop length is quite long, is that because of the time that it will be in the animals digestive system ? The down is, the sorry loss of your phone, anyway vey good video. A T B Clifford

7:27 that happened to me before on a Ford 8210 with an open sunroof. I was not asked back the following year by the contractor. 😒😒
Do you not have a find my iphone app? Same happend to me once and we could kind of pin point where it was and dig it up before we covered it.
Love the vids
Good video farmer phil ❤❤❤❤
Anytime is. GReat time during sileage harvest
You will have 2 do a bit of training on the harvester Phil
Think we've found the 21st century equivalent of looking for a needle in a haystack 😉
phone in a 70 acre silage pit 😂
One off the bulls could be ringing you next winter
Good thing you didn't stall the 2725 or he'd have filled the cab
😂😂
I see you're a man of culture too,
Song straight out of the Wilson farming series from grassmen, one of the last good things they ever done that.
and the black massy has a silage hat 🎩😎
