I want to thank you very much for this video. I was looking at $500 to have a new fuel pump put in my 2004 Ford Ranger Edge. I ended up paying $55 for two new relays that I did myself of course. One in the kick panel for accessories and one under the hood for the fuel pump. Truck started right up after turning the key off and on a few times. Wish I could buy you lunch for the save. Again I thank you very much.

Thank you for the kind words. I hope this does fix your problem permanently. Fuel pumps are tricky but not the end of the world. You can take out about six bolts and disconnect a couple of wire harnesses and lift the bed back with the help of a friend and the pump is right there. 3 hour job.

Thanks for this video. You just saved me almost $300 for a diagnostic fee.

    1997 Mazda B-4000SE 4.0L V6 here ( same as a Ford Ranger XLT) - mine
suddenly one morning after using all day before would NOT START (it's
happened before a few times), cranked like nuts, no "fire". What did I
find? It was the F'ing Fuel Pump Inertia "collision" switch mounted on
the passenger side inside the firewall. No truck impacts, no bumps, no
anything that should have tripped that Inertia "collision" switch!!
Fuel pump is fine! Beware Boys, ALWAYS ALWAYS check that damn Inertia
"collision" switch FIRST on ANY Ranger or Mazda B-Series!! A kick of a
foot, a package you have on the floor bumping it, could easily trip it!
Push the button down to reset and GO!

Heya boss. I hope you see this and can help. I had to replace the accessory relay again in the passenger kick panel. A week later and it is blown again. Cranking and not starting. Any idead why the relay keeps going bad? It is a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 4x4 with a 6cyl. 4.0L engine.

Electrical problems can be tricky. I would suggest that you first replace the relay (again) with a good quality relay. I would think if the circuit is getting excessively loaded that it would blow a fuse before taking out the relay. I have purchased a few bad relays in my days.
