Wow....this was REALLY good. It started a little slow, but the end was memorable. She taught that arrogant snob a lesson. Bette Davis was worth more than her weight in gold to Hollywood. She delivered here, as she always has. R.i.p. Ms Davis.

@@jessiejames7492 Bette Davis was actually married four times and had three children, one of whom, BD Hyman, wrote a derogatory book about Bette, "My Mother's Keeper". Bette never forgave her. She was very fond of her personal assistant Kathryn Sernak who was with her to the end and became a kind of substitute daughter.

I found this info about the actor who plays the editor: John Baragrey was an American film, television, and stage actor who appeared in virtually every dramatic television series of the 1950s and early 1960s.
Baragrey gained early acting experience in stock theater, beginning in 1946 when he joined a stock company headed by José Ferrer. His other stock work included the Bucks County Playhouse, Philadelphia's Playhouse in the Park, and Westport Country Playhouse.
On stage, in films, and especially on television, he teamed up with many of the leading ladies of the era, including Rita Hayworth, Jane Wyman, Jane Powell, Anne Bancroft, Judith Anderson, Tallulah Bankhead, Dolores del Río, and Bette Davis. Yet today he is virtually forgotten, partly because so much of his work was in early television, and many of the tapes of these shows have been lost or were never even recorded.

1957, and Bette at 49 is still as vivacious and appealing as ever. Her demeanor never faltered and this was the bravado of a half hour segment, one of the finest ever. Kudos to Aint BEA, for the soft sweet cheerleader who encourages her to fulfill her dreams.

Here her home ec and auntily fussbudgetry over Bette was a perfect audition for the Andy Griffith Show.

Bette Davis didn't play. She knows how to get revenge and make you look like a fool. She was such a courageous Aries movie star diva on and off the stage. I have the same middle name as she did. I love her and Joan Crawford.
