@@alegnalowe3679 I hear you, I didn't want to believe BDs account, but her children have also said that Bette acted wildly crazy many a time and I've also heard many, many interviews of those who knew her well, many who knew her intimately, and from what they have said, I now believe that what BD has said in her book and in interviews is correct. I often wonder if Bette had some kind of mental disorder . . . or, it could be that the high amount of alcohol she drank had a huge effect upon her personality. She still remains my all-time favorite actress. I so love the old movies when she was younger. So beautiful, just captivating.

When her contracted expired from Warner Bros..pictures/studios .. She placed an ad in the LA Times in the 1950's and caught some slack for it.. The Tara home from "Gone With the Wind" is used in the opening sequence of this TV Show. It was sold and the remaining parts shipped to Georgia where they remain to this day stored in an old barn. Hopefully one day it can be restored to how it looked when used in the David O. Selznick movie. The home was sold to Senator Herman Talmadge and moved to Georgia in 1959. This show was from 1957 and probably one of the last shows to use the set for a TV Show prior to its' move back to Georgia.

I think Ms.Davis had a hard time adapting to Hollywood as it changed and she aged. I feel she acted a bit overly at times as if she had to give some huge star appearance to all her movies. The best she ever acted in to me was what ever happened to baby Jane and she should of gotten that academy award. I loved her dearly and yet I've always felt she was never happy in her real role, her own life. As Ms. Bette aged I was grateful for Johnny Carson and even David Letterman for always making sure she was RECIEVING a check by having her on their shows and not tucked away as most of those greats from her time had done. Bette traveled lots near the end of her life. I still wonder if her daughter has ever wished they never had words over that book she wrote to which broke her mother's heart . Ironic how mother's and daughters never get along it must of been a generational thing anyway, there will never be those greats ever again nor will Hollywood ever have such class & Grace. There was a time you could load up what you owned and become a star not these days. Rest in peace Ms. Bette Davis ❤

Absolutely enjoyable. This would have made a great Hollywood feature length film. Of course the script would have been fleshed out with more LIES that Miss Davis would have been caught in throughout the film. Davis would have been even more glamorized in various scenes. Too bad Hollywood thought Miss Davis had been finished in films around this time. Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfeild had caught the studios attention by having various wardrobe malfunctions.

That opening scene is the front of the Plantation home used in "Gone With The Wind". It was a facade only and later burned down.

@@karenhill3970 There were 2 major homes used in "Gone With The Wind", of course Tara was Scarlett's home and "Twelve Oaks" was the name of Ashley Wilkes home. From what I have read the front of Selznick International Studios was somehow used for the images of "Twelve Oaks" but the "Tara" home was just a facade based on a Plantation home in Georgia which stood for years only to later be either torn or burned down. but the opening scene is the facade of "Tara" from "Gone With The Wind".
