- In this video I show you how to use the Autel Auto Link AL329 OBD2 Code Reader and give a review. I give an overview of each of the features, and talk about what they are for. You can use this code reader to read trouble codes and find out why your check engine light is on. This Code Reader has options for live data, view freeze frame, and I/M Readiness. You can also erase trouble codes and turn off your check engine light.

I just bought this code reader. I read the paper instructions and it says to connect(w/cord provided) reader to a computer and install files. I dont have a compuer and the tablet I have doesn't have a usb connector.so will the code reader work without installing files off their website?

I saw in the video that the yellow warning light is on, Why? I see my car has the same issue when I connect it to ODB
Other than the incomplete (INC) status, is there any other way to find out or can this code reader tell if there were any codes that might have been erased prior?

Why was your yellow warning light lit on the scanner if you didnt have any codes?
Probably because of the incomplete (INC) status on some of the monitors because of previously disconnecting the battery.
It says LINKING ERROR. Any ideas? The tool was given to me with out manual.
I was gonna buy this but no where on the package does it say that it does live data which I wanted so I didn't buy it!

Yes it has but I wanted Exhaust temp.
I bought this several months ago and it worked fine. Now I get a "fail to connect, linking error". I've tried 3 times with the engine on and off. Also made sure its plugged in properly. Frustrating.
Check fuses. It normally is the same fuse as for the cig lighter.
I had mine for over a year and still works. Hope you had you’re issue fix

For some reason it won’t connect to my truck. It shows that it’s trying to connect but it shows” error cannot connect “. Can someone maybe give me any suggestions on what I can do to? Also does this always have to be plugged into a power source for it to work? No very tech savvy but I appreciate anyone who gives me good advice

This is the third video I've watched where this scan tool shows no codes. I have one my neighbor bought and it shows no codes. My two other scan tools find two trouble codes on her car but this one (looks exactly the same but sold as a NAPA Carlyle brand) shows no codes.
Sure am wonderin about it, says ive got two bad systems but no codes?
I'm having the same problem. ABS light and Stabilizer and TC lights on, Autozone scanners show the codes, but this NAPA329 one shows nothing. It claims on the spec sheet that it does scan ABS modules but doesnt show anything.
How do I turn on the power ?
It turns on when you plug it in.

Hi and thanks for watching. It will possibly show a pending code until the on board computer fully registers the code again and turns on the check engine light.

Barcode maker won't do nothing it won't come on
It is just a shame that "and talk about what they are for" wasn't followed. I can read what the print says but an explanation wasn't forthcoming. Sorry!
