He tells why he moved to Amsterdam, what's so special about the last record Octahedron and about the follow up of the record which will never be released. He speculated about the future of the band, the meaning of their music and he tells about his early drug use and the documentary he is currently making about The Mars Volta. I love that he's saying no one is buying vinyl and the only Mars Volta album I have ever seen in person is Octahedron
2018. Still nothing I've ever heard has got close to TMV for me. That's good.

To add to your comment, i'd like to say, yes the volta was the only band like that, and even if it's sad not to hear more guys as creative as this, it's also a great thing, because they were unique! They didn't sound like everyone else like it's too often the case.
The Phsyics House Band ooze TMV vibes and they also had some production help from ORL

The Mars Volta is so unique, original and really just inspiring.
Fast forward to last year when TMV actually dropped a pop album, haha! It's a killer album. I wonder what's next for them.
