Just wanted to share my experience. Using the P40 Pro, of course. And first off just wanted to thank you for making this tutorial.
1st try. Following this tutorial step-by-step. Pausing, making sure I was up to him on the video. Worked fine. Unfortunately, I restarted the phone, and for some reason, no more google services.
2nd try. After some trial and error I managed to get it working again. Had to stat from the beginning. Delete all the 9 apps, clear cache, app data, etc. Didn't do a factory reset.
Can confirm that Google services is still working. Although apprehensive about restating my phone, in case it gets rid of Google services again.
As far as the apps and services I use.
Google pay doesn't work, that's about it.
Let me guys know if you still have Google services running after restarting your phone.

Installed it on Nova 7i, works fine, only 1 attempt, need to carefully watch the step in the video, see whether need to clear app in background or not, the gsf will need patient (a lot) , open/close the play store, device is not certified, ok for me as long the locations service & play store works, no error notifications, thx gntech

For all those who struggle with regenerating GMS ID - try to restart your phone. On my P40 ID appeared right after restarting without even opening Play Store. Hitting retry on error in PS was pointless.

Worked lie a charm.. easy steps. I hope all these can be combined in one APK and save all the steps. which get me to the first question, why Google play is not there in the first place? I thought the ban has been lifted on Huwaei?
installed it on my friends P40 Pro, works well at first but after a few days of usage, he so annoyed at it, it pops up error endlessly night and day, ended up resetting the phone and not using the google play on it anymore. alas he cant play his game without google so he ended up selling it and get a cheap iPhone Xr instead.
tl;dr it works for at least for a while but be ready for headache.
Repeat the steps in removing the google play services and so on.

This has been working perfectly on my P40 Pro for one last week now. I do not get the error on startup either.
1. Remember to start-stop-restart the "G" app that the "restore" installs.
2. Remember to keep restarting Play Store to regenerate the GSF number at 3:40.
Hi im having trouble with the G app. It says installation failed because i have a new app installed. I did try un installing the backup app and reboot my phone and it still gives me the error message. Can u help please?

The installation worked perfectly on my newly purchased Huawei P40 Pro. Thanks a lot for sharing. Only thing I have noticed right now that doesn't work is google wallet which threw out an error saying the device may be rooted. Is there a way we can fix it?
No because i think that for google pay to work the device needs to be google play certified.

This works just fine guys. All you need when faceing trouble is some creativity and basic understanding of the process. For those stock at uninstalling Google framework, try deactivating all the permissions - notifications - and data usage and then clear cash and data and uninstall.
For those stock at getting the GSF, Do the same with Google Framework and with google services but without clearing the data and the cash, not working? uninstall google services (file 8 ) with clearing everything from permissions to data usage and then reinstall it.
personally i was weirded out by not being able to force stop the services for file 8, it was grayed, because it's connected to FindPhone, just uninstall anyways. And afterthat, enjoy your super device with super google!
For anyone who doesn't have a flash drive this also works using a NAS drive or shared folder on your PC!

not sure if it'll help you, but at the point where gsf id is supposed to regenerate I just ignored it and continued to last step. Once I installed the 9th apk I could install stuff on google play store. to avoid the stupid error notifications I just disabled notifications from google play store in settings. working fine so far

But the Retry option got me pissed..
Tried too many times until the Device ID App does not even load at all..
(At this point, i did a hard restart on the phone and tried running the Device ID app and Google Play service and it worked well on the Google Play Service with Google ID displaying on Device ID App)

Do you still get play protect pop up. I can install app from play store and can use all the apps. But It is annoying play protect pop up keep coming back every few mins.

Same here... tried multiple times.. even when I bypass it with other version of Google Account Manager (version 6 and 7) still no way of getting those notifications off.

Probably Google black listed P40 series. Since it worked for many people before and now it doesn't.

I'm seriously loving my p20 pro and considering the p40 pro. However, I use too much of Google's stuff in my daily life...
Google maps (I use it for anywhere in travelling overseas to navigate/find popular places)
Google drive (lots of work stuff there)
Chrome ( I guess more used to it at this point)
One question, if I run this method, will Google maps/drive work?
Bonus : I use Google pay and Google authenticator as well ...

Not illegal Ezvin ! I noticed that if i try and use a paid for application that checks for a google licence it will not work as it says it is not an authorised phone.

after 4 times try i managed to install it on my Mate 30 pro. the first 3 tries i cannot regenerate the GSF as in my playstore keeps on showing error which i have push the retry button for forever, and it doesnt do anything. For the 4th time I clear the cache and data for the google services framework and force stop it then uninstall it. after that i install back the 7th file(from the huawei installation folder) then the gsf regenerate without any errors. After that proceed with the normal step. hope this will help those who have the same problem as me. :D. Anyway tq for the video !

If you cant open g chinese app
Go to settings apps and find huawei backup something like that and delete it, it make it dont work. :)
If that dont work just reset phone to stock settings and try again it will work.
