Check out this video for lots of footage that was shot with this mount. • Downhill Biking Squami...
In this GoPro mounting tips and tricks video I show how to mount your GoPro on the side of a helmet I am using down hill full face bike helmet however, this will also work with ski and snowboard helmets. This mount is great because it gives you a bit of the helmet in the shot as well as allowing the helmet to have a lower profile and therefore lowering the likelihood that the GoPro would get caught on anything. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
You're a legend mate. Took off my old adhesive with your other video then found this one to set up my new side mount. Perfect. You showed the parts, how it goes together, explained what to watch out for when mounting etc and no BS rambling at the start or end. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Today in the modern life we do not need manual. I Just type "how to use side mount gopro ". Came you video and help me out.
Thank you for posting,
Cheers from Brazil,
Marcos

You bet I am glad that I was able to help.
Love Your Videos! They Have Helped So Much!
Thanks I will do!
thanks dude. your video was really helpful
Good call! I was going with the right, being a 'righty' and thinking that's my dominant side. When I first read your suggestion, I was thinking, "Huh? Just adjust the perspective (tilt it out more to the right) to capture less helmet."
..but then I looked at the lens and the world made sense. Thanks, man!
i use this method for dirtbike riding i found the lcd very usefull for line the camera just right !
thanks bro
Thanks, this really helped me out!
Thanks Soo much this really helped me thank you again
Yes it would, I see a lot of motorcycles on the road with there camera mounted like this.
Yes I this will work with the silver and black edition, just like ramirooo96 said
Thanks man, helped me a lot!!
Thank you it helped me a lot😀

Yes it can happen I have fixed this problem by glueing in the bolts
thanks for the video
Gostei do vídeo, tenho uma hero 1, a primeira da linha Gopro. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
It totally depends on the shot your are trying to get. I do find my self using the top mount more then the side mount.
Very helpful
Cool vid man another sub
Works great so far
Really helpful video !
Thanks !!
+Juin Alcones god it helped
it is so true
dude you just uploaded it 2 hours after i made this mount for my fullface...damn it :D
Great vid thanks mate got your self a sub :)
I got hero 3 white the only attachments it came with were the buckle mount with the adhesive bits & I bought it from a dirtbike store LOL :/ But I bought what I needed from ebay :D
I think all but the HERO white come with all this stuff
Nice 1 pal...
sweet
thanks for that
thanks
to bad. It seems that the new GoPro's are coming with less accessorizes
The white does not come with all the parts you need. The silver and black do.
Thanks
hey there, if you get the silver or black edition, it will come with the helmet side mounts so no worries
the helmet is symetrical, but the go pro camera isn't - the lens is on the left side, so positioning it on the left of the helmet means there is half the camera + the mount separating it from the helmet. On the right side there will just be the mount.
tthanks
I am a frequent skier. Would you recommend this mount or the helmet front mount. I already have the gopro mounted right on top of my head.
Is there any different setup if you want to mount it upside down? Also does the white version come with every thing i need? Thanks!
hey i want to get a gopro for downhill use do you find with the side mount do you feel the gopro there or is it still light and dosnt bother you, im looking at the hero 3 black
I know its all what you prefer l, but do you think i should put it on the left or right side?
I just got a new helmet and if i mount it underneath the goggle strap i have to mount it on a vent. Should i try that or mount it somewhere else. Thanks
you bet
i find it better to use on other side of the helmet. buttons will be also more outside. use only 2 long extender bars. /watch?v=iiG22kl3Tmw&feature=relmfu
Hey, have you ever fell down with gopro on the mount? Did it fall of? What about the mount? thanks for your reply
Because the lens is not centered on the camera, it is off the the right.
I think i like the top view better. Great video though!
my hero 3 doesn't have all these parts stock, more specifically the 2nd longer elbow extender. bummer. nice video though !
Thanks you just saved me 15 dollars from the go pro site but I have a hero 1 and I didn't come with the smaller bar so I borrowed from ma buddy
I am going to buy a gopro hero 3. Can i do this with what comes with the gopro or will i have to buy the actual side helmet mount ? Please help
Hi, I'm looking for the best perspective for attaching to a fencing mask at the top, or at the side, do you have an idea?
Can't say I am an expert on fencing. I think it would be really cool to get the mount low, is there any way you could wear a chest mount? This would give a cool prospective, think FPS, with your arms in the shot. If you were to mount on your helmet I think I would try to get it low around the chin area.
That "vibration reducer" obviously does not reduce anything. Nice video though, I got all the answers I wanted.
I have not had a problem but if you are worry about it check by putting your goggles on your helmet before you stick down the mount.
I use that mount for my MotoVlogs lol
Did you use flat or curved mount?
That means that I if this sticks in my helmet it doesn't get out?
I'd suggest LEFT side of the helmet, this will make the lens as far away from the helmet as possible. If you mount to the right, you will catch more of your helmet in the frame and less of your field of view
Is it normal that one of the smaller screw comes off the plastic?
Won't it get in the way of the goggle strap?
Would the adhesive eventually wear out with time risking the camera from falling / detaching from the helmet during an activity or do you think that that is highly unlikely to happen? I'm stuck between this mount or the chest harness for dh mountain biking. I don't want to be losing my camera during a ride :) Thanks man.
The chest mount is much more stable, and you get to see your hands better for a video reference.
how do I put on left side
Does it need to be a curved mount? I have LOADS of flat mounts that came with my camera and no use for them so far, any chance a flat mount would work? if not, where can I get cheap curved mounts?
if the area your putting it on is flat then try the flat one
whats cool nowdays: gopro 360 degree swivel mount. Still dont know who sells them or are they just custom built.
My hero 3 black came with all this stuff i only the adventure or surf edition? Don't know why people aren't getting all this stuff in the pack
Thanks for the 411.
How do you put your goggles on now
U help me thx
do these all come with the product, except the helmet of course
mert balbal yes
My Hero3 didn't come with the pieces you had in you video.***** :/
I'm just worried about it flying off at 150mph plus
I only saw*
1:15
I hope🤔 it wouldn't fall while I am riding my motorcycle at 100 km/hr speed.
just take two pieces of tape and stick them to the inside of the mounting bracket
hey bro,how do i mount it if i wanna wear my goggles?
2:00. Re watch it
My Hero3 sis
you sound like travis pastrana lol
So everything you need comes with just the hero
robbie caputi any gopro
lol you czn't put your mask where you put it
jerome .a in fact his mount sucks
how to place it if im wearing a goggle??? is there a updated video?
Mine mounts just under the goggle strap.
cant seem to get the view like yours. im wearing a 661 comp helmet
I would go above the strap on that helmet. Have you got a LCD screen or smartphone to help you line up the shot?
yup lcd screen, just got the gopro. really appreciate the helmet man :)
Sweet as, get a chest mount! Can't go wrong!
Bro when did you last clean that poor helmet
Watch the video again, and pay attention...
(Btw. it's the curved)
Yu know I actually tried this with putting the gopro on the side of my racing helmet, but I found one major problem with it, and I dont know if I did something wrong, but after I put my helmet on, I had a really hard time from being able to keep my head perfectly straight, I mean even though the gopro hardly weighs anything, depending on what side of the helmet I put it on, my head kept always tilting to the side that the camera was mounted on, and I couldnt put it on the top of my helmet only because my car is not a convertible so there is absolutly no room for the camera to fit between the roof of my car and the top of my helmet........
Your helmet is too big
+Seb Scili that could be excatley true, but when I got the helmet for the racing I do, I got one that went along with the one that our rule book actually tells us which one to use....All helmets meeting the latest or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation

Wind drag.
...and the goggle?
goggles*
This is the worse mount method there is. Look at how cubbeezx and spacep0d mount theirs.
thanks
