I got like 8 helmets now,:) butt all full face, I had only one flip-up an Uvex GT but was too big.
Now I used mostly a Shoei 1000 Diabolique and a Uvex Boss, and some others:)

no problem at 80mph with it on the top, I have windshield so the wind is not hitting on top of my helmet that hard
Great ideea ! Tyvm 4 response ! I mounted too on helmet like this ( and till now seems fine).and ofcourse I did only speed limit :)

@artiboy24 use the hair dryer to get it off the helmet.. reuse, I doubt it.. buy new adhesive tape and put on the mount plate
@furnitureskate I will get hero2 really soon... this week I will borrow my friend's hero 2 and will make comparison video with my hero
Mine got a crack in it after a couple years of abuse and I emailed GoPro see if I could just buy the clip. They told me to send pictures in and said that they would send out a replacement. They ended up sending 4 new ones out for free.

I went 75-80 mph with no problem... I'm thinking about tie a string on it so will not be worried to lost it if it fell off
Getting ready for my first helmet cam, so thanks for the vid. I think I'm going with the chin mount! Just hope I don't spaz out mounting it as I wasn't blessed with patience, but sure it'll be worth it. We can get the license of all dare to screw with us.

can you please make a "tutorial" tip video of how to _remove_ the gopro mount of a helmet (and put on a new helmet..). i have only 2 mounts, and one of them are now on my snowboarding helmet, and the other one is on my snowboard, and i want to use it for other situations too.. :)
i dont want to buy a new pack of mounts, and where i live, it is a bit hard to find a store where they even know what a gopro is...

I LIVE IN mASS AND ON OUR mASS-pIKE road...cars go 80-90 mph so bikes can easily cruise 100 around them...I actually hit 167 on that road. So I'm buying a gopro and trying to decide on mounts..whats the best angle for a superbike? Problem is chest mount is looking at the tank on superbikes...I was thinking on my tank would be a good view..I have a gsxr1000 so you really lean on the tank. I dont know? Ideas?
I have the same helmet and i put miy adhesive on the right side... how do you like your mount on the top?... I feel the camera very much due to the wind when im doing more then 100 is it ok if i put it up on the top ?

No, I have mine attached to the side of my helmet and it catches the wind a lot, it holds up great, the mounts are VERY strong.

Brian M. hey I just put mine on the side of my helmet but didn't use the curved sticky, and part of the sticky isn't touching (most is though) I think it will hold up don't you?

I would recommend you do just go buy a curved mount, you definitely want the least chance possible.

kidzcannon apparently due to our safety standards anything fitted to your helmet is allowed to exceed 5mm
He's deaf, also music is distracting when you are trying to learn something from the video. Focus on the video and read subtitles then you will get it right at first time. :)

Who cares man, Ive seen many videos where cops have stopped a cyclist and not one has mentioned a law about mounting things on a helmet. If this law were enforced then people wouldn't be putting on stick on spikes. Just do it, a person that goes 80mph+ on the highway shouldn't be afraid of putting a camera on their helmet. I don't know if you do that but in any case, just do it.
