    Last video i revealed the insane deal I got by picking up this 2013 Audi S4. Of course, there’s nothing more expensive than a cheap German sports car, but I had to. Since then, I have found some more issues and will be fixing them all on here, so we can see the true performance of this beautiful car! This car is highly modified with 90k miles on it, so stick around and enjoy the show 😁

    Whoever says buying a B8.5 above 70k miles is an idiot... I have one that I got at 84k and I am now at 94k. Yes I had to replace a few things in my engine bay which were like alternator, crank pulley, belts. Those are problems you can have on any cars...... I was stage 1 at like 87k miles. I am now at 94k and dual pulley running flawlessly.

    I’ve had 2 B8 S4’s that initial rattle on start up is mostly normal for these cars. Audi even says so, it’s in the second scenario that you showed where you should be worried. As is right now, I would just keep an eye on it and not worry too much. If it develops a longer rattle, then start to question whether you should take action or not. Just my opinion, coming from someone who has one currently with 212k miles. 6spd. Stage 2. and still on original chains. 🤷🏼‍♂️

      Yes I agree! I did a lot of research on Audi engines prior to this one, and hands down the 3.0t supercharged engine is the most reliable S line engine to date. Love it

    Yeah, that rattle sounds all too familiar. Mine actually developed chain stretch. One of the tensioners got stuck open. Was till within the timing window, so thankfully nothing was damaged. Also, make sure you flush the DSG fluid if you haven't already.

    If the car has paddles, use them ✅ ( that’s what I do anyway ) if you can only get 92 but are tuned for 93 you have to add octane booster or safer option switch to 91 tune, unfortunately…i know you have the windshield that’s janky but also passenger side footwell there a drain for the “water “ from the a/c. Sometimes that drain gets clogged and as you go around turns it’ll spill out onto the floor, soaking the carpet/mats. Just something to check, had to clear mine out a couple months ago. The s4 is sickkk🤘🏻🤘🏻

    It's funny how I just had work done on my 01 accord replacing coils 1/4 and the plugs, then come here and see a similar situation. The ride never ends with older cars lol.
    I'd maybe go with a partial wrap if a full is too expensive. A place by me wanted 500$ to just wrap the grills on my stinger and I though that was a bit much. Maybe plasti dip and wrap the roof black.

    • @twn2rbo
      @twn2rbo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re not kidding, I was quoted $500 just for the chrome trim around the windows and another $400 for the roof to be done in carbon, I can buy a whole roll of wrap for $400, I’m tempted to try it myself, since it’s not a daily.
      I ordered the gloss carbon by TinyBot for the roof, going to attempt that one first!

      I actually did the chrome trim around the windows on my stinger. They sell pre cut for those for around 25$. That was actually not too bad just patience and a squeege to smooth it out. I tried wrapping the mirror covers and it was a disaster. I got them mint then the next day it was cold and they shrunk and peeled off. Ended up dropping the 200 on the carbon fiber covers.
      Still have that issue with the jb4 throwing engine codes lol. Think I gotta set it back to factory settings and see what happens.

      @deadpool1092 ปีที่แล้ว

      @TWN 2RBO doing the roof shouldn't be too bad since it's a flat surface. The only thing that could be annoying is getting around or wrapping the fin if it has one. I want to do my roof, but the videos showing how to get the fin off seems like it's a pain in the ass

      Thanks! I am actually switching all tunes from IE to 034 this week. They agreed to work with me and I’m so excited for that, I’ve heard nothing but great things about them. Fan, turns out it was the auxiliary coolant pump for the supercharger wasn’t working, PWM wire was messed up too. But got it replaced and it went away, I did discover the CC stock out though, one day my fan came back on full blast during driving and I was upset, but I hit it forward when stitching up the new alcantara cover and carbon paddle shifters on. Someone said to check it, sure enough when I pulled it back it turned off. Such an awesome feature!

    • @twn2rbo
      @twn2rbo  ปีที่แล้ว

      It was on Marketplace $18.5, but it was sitting for awhile because it would take a very special person to but a 90k S4 that’s 10 years old with all of these mods so I got him down to $15k. Then the AC went out the day we met up at bank, so I got him down some more to $12.7. She runs strong and doesn’t leak anything and he did a bunch of maintenance to it 10k miles ago so I had to swoop it up. But as far as comparing it to a Mazda, it will def cost you a lot more to maintain it. If you don’t work on your own cars when little stuff needs to be done , I wouldn’t do it.

    • @twn2rbo

      It sounds like he lowered the price to compensate for the timing chain tensioner job, which is probably around $3,500. That noise is going to get worse and the job will need to get done. As long as you are ok with that expense, the initial price is fair. Clean title? What year? Manual auto?

    • @twn2rbo
      @twn2rbo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate it. You will hear manufacturers or dealerships say 5k miles or every 6 months because when fuel gets into oil, it breaks the oil down. 6 months of fuel getting into oil is not good when highly modified. If it was a Accord or Camry, I would side with you. But then you have to look at the 10k mile oil change intervals and all the destroyed piston rings on the Camry’s at higher miles due to 10k mi oil changes. Now they burn a qt of oil every 1,000 miles. I’m sticking with that on this car mainly bc it’s direct injected and a lot more fuel will get into the oil compared to most cars.

      Hey Jenna! There’s pros and cons to each, if you have an e85 near you that may be more convenient, not sure what part of the country you live in, but e85 doesn’t do the best in freezing cold temps, nor does it like to sit for long periods of time, it can start gunking things up. I like WMI for turbos especially, but you just need to make sure it’s installed and tuned properly or you can blow it up. If using the JB4 you can select when you want to have the extra power with WMI. CPI is something your always need to be in the supporting map with as long as that fuel ratio is in your gas tank.
