though I had some problem with sea water It also th-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
Nice video. Makes me want to go out "treasure hunting" as well.
I have an idea which could possibly speed up the whole process a lot:
How about taking a strong magnet with you, and once the detector goes off, shove the magnet into the ground where the detector went off. Either it will pick the object up right away (which should happen most of the times), and if not (it might be a non-ferromagnetic metal - like gold, silver, copper, aluminium), you can still go through the dirt with the shovel and your hand.
By the way, you seem to be pretty good at finding the things once the detector goes off, already. Still, the way you wipe through the dirt with your hands makes me cringe since the gloves don't look thick enough to protect against fishing-hooks or the like. (but I guess they are)

Jake, try using a discriminating metal detector. These can be tuned to dial out iron and only bleep on precious metals.
Also, try diving with a large magnet. This won't find precious metals, but it'll be cool to see the hooks and lures jump out from under the sand.
Metal detecting. A fairly healthy, potentially profitable hobby. I definitely want to get into it one day myself.

4:45 the metal detector went off near the object which looked like a ring
it was a seashell its far too tiny to be a wedding ring
I think u should set frequency to gold instead of iron. Check in settings>>General settings>>Auto frequency off>> selct manual>> Gold. You might need to reboot it once done. Belive me works every time. ))

Right at the first half second of 4:50. There is a ring on the right side of screen, next to that big rock. You can see the ring and the diamond too. Look closely and there’s a point at the outside of it.

You need a detector that distinguishes signals and gives you iron sign so you can disregard the trash signals.

For everyone saying that there was a ring in 1:15 - 1:30, if it was made of gold, silver, or platinum it would not fan away because most expensive rings are made of very heavy materials. Like so people can see!

Woah Tree while that is true, the same idea is used in searching for little bits of gold. it is put in rushing water, but because it’s heavy and the other materials aren’t it won’t float away.
