This game mode with a starwars mod is gonna be nutty. Trying to put together a rebel fleet, raiding imperial shipments and supply depots.
I hope we get that Halo mod on here. That looked absolutely fantastic back in HW:2

I would Imagine they MIGHT (or SHOULD) add a Capital ship fleet, where instead of Carrier you got a Mobile Shipyard. Or at least have a Mobile Shipyard as an option.
Like in homeworld 1 and 2?

They have mods that allow you to use the mothership in wargames
There is no Shipyard in 3

I turned my carrier into a 120k HP monster with 200% damage bonus now it couldn't build a fleet but still

I tried this too and it's a warmachine xD
but you do need teammates or else you just get overwhelmed. Resource controllers are also important because they can heal you.
@@WilliamLaurenson I will try this out when i play with randoms to support them with my carrier. Like big capital ships with a lot of power and the carrier is actual the largest one what we can have in wargames. Hopefully the mothership in the campaign can also maxed out in this way but still can produce other ships.

A fighter cockpit mode would be sick. I know it would be a lot almost like a whole other game.

Here i think it looks nice, like classic homeworld awesomeness, like this gamemode. Might buy HW3 after all, hope they will continue to work on it
another way they could take it is a conquest mode where you pick a faction and fight over the map each season you can pick a different side. though not sure how well it will work i know a few rts tried something similar like shogun 2

Hey Shack is there any new or recently updated Star Wars mods for Homeworld 2 or any one soon coming out for HW3? I think it be a great video idea if you played it like you did in those videos so long ago.
In the first round reduce the carrier health by 30% and weapon damage by 50% for faster build speed...and then send the mining ships mostly lone without protection to collect resources. I am beginner and hope for opponents like you in skirmish pvp to win also some rounds.
I'm a fan of big battle cruisers, so I would also like a way to use the big ships.

Wargames is fun. It's mainly the progression I like. I don't think I'll play it after I unlock it all

Have you played the Homeworld mobile game?
I love rts games but I suck at them, and I couldn't find any coop partners in the demo, so the AI just steamrolled me on the second map.
I wish there was an easier difficulty setting. I played the old HW games as well and I didn't like the controls here either.
Got destroyed in the end, be better with friends. Never fight buy yourself with a Titan in the battle!

For someone who plays a lot of fps games and are tired of them and want to something new are RTS games hard to learn ?
They can be, some are more simple thqn others, homeworld can be a little overwhelming and the whole 3d space thing may not be best for newbie rts players, however i could see some newbie rts players become really good at rts through these games

@@twobluesoulsmusic1239It focuses mainly on campaign and war games which are PvE so that might make it easier to start but like the other guy said a 3d map with 3d terrain is def gonna be harder to start off with than the normal 2d ones so overall idk
Halo Wars is quite a solid title for starting out with RTS games. Homeworld remastered has a significantly lower cost of entry compared to HW3 and has 2 campaigns to play through. Company of Heroes 2 is another favourite of mine that's fairly easy to pick up.

Not worth the money in my opinion. Campaign took me under 10hrs to complete.

I like the concept of the war games mode, I just am not a fan of how they chose to "balance" the war games mode
They managed to make space claustrophobic with ships too big compared to each other, and engagement distance so short. Fighters and frigates are so clamped together and so fast that they constantly bump to each other. Feels still very unfinished.
Why are hunters so big? It gives me the impression that the pirate carrier is really small and can only carry 6 fighters max. There is a problem of consistency with the different sizes of the units, its buggy eyes and logic.
The units rescale as you zoom in and out as well though, to help with identifying smaller craft.
@@l0rf Can you turn that off? Really don't like it. I prefer the ships to be consistently accurately scaled. The green icons help identify ships at a distance in HW1 / 2 just fine.

I feel like if the game was just released as Wargames mode initially (with a lower price) while they developed the Campaign, it would be better received. The campaign is just so atrocious that no one wants to give Wargames a try.
It’s far from perfect, but it’s an interesting concept.

I dont like that you dont have to dock everything. If they dont have a FTL drive they should not be able to jump along with the ships that DO have a FTL drive.
Theres too much focus on "terrain". I want more open maps

shell ejection on suppression frigate? what an absolute stupid idea that was as a design... you fly in space where every resource counts. I assume the shell thing could be just - reused in production instead just jettisoning into space. This shell ejection looks like frigate being a pistol or something- ridiculous animation.
