The Bombers are weak because you ingnore the fact they having cloaking and you aren’t using it Shack. You can right click on their cloak ability to have them auto-cast it.

The cutscene at the halfway mark, showing the ship lowering into the cloud: The cloud was at the bottom of the last mission destroying the shipyards, the mothership was simply ducking down into the cloud as the shipyards exploded behind them, it was to help mask the hyperspace jump to the ice cliff, no bug.
I’m thinking the reason the mothership got spotted was when that group jumped in almost on top of it some of them dipped below the clouds at some point
So the last patch changed the camera controls so that it no longer allows the camera to go inside the terrain and enter the blue realm. The unintended downside is that it gets stuck on terrain. So if the terrain is behind or to the side of the camera and you try to move into the terrain, the controls seem to not respond.
Its an interesting problem to deal with from a game design perspective. You either let the camera go into terrain and become blind, or you make the camera controls problematic around terrain. (or, you make the inside of the terrain voxels transparent or partially opaque so the camera doesn't become blind, but that may be a more complex solution to implement than I think)
Its easier to deal with using the modern camera controls, but I understand sticking to the classic controls since they're familiar.
I'm hooked on the story, can't wait to see where it goes
Gotta love this game so much, the mothership weapons remind me so much of the guns from the expanse
I love how Intel talks almost exactly how the original "Intel" talked in the first two games.

Yeah the "Big Bad" is as interesting as the story. I'm a RTS fanatic so if the combat is good enough it's worth playing
Is it me or does the soundtrack at the end of this video sound like that sad theme from the movie "Platoon?" Icl it defo sounds similar if not the same chord to chord.
I was so excited for HW3 and.. other than skirmish and wargames, its been abit of a disappointment~
I mean, the ship designs are awesome, I love the Incarnate designs and especially like the Hiig Carrier design. The story however? ..they had the chance to go real ham with all the introductions of the galactic council an so forth from HW1 an 2, instead.. theeeey went this route~
We could have instead been facing actual Progenitors, learning who and what they are~ but nyuuu.. lackluster big head ebil lady.

The story's got a battlestar galactica vibe. Just like battlestar galactica you are alone and cant trust anybody etc.
cutscenes are overacted and the ships don't have enough variation in their design to make the recognizable when you look at them from a far in this one
Too much movie..not enough game.
Fuck 3 just looks like a disappointment. so easy it looks like you can just rush the objective and ignore the entire hostile fleet that just desides to wander off when you reach the objective.
unlike the others even though youre running and all alone vs the universe youre endlessly floating money and your fleet is at always at full strength.

handholding missions that tell you exactly what to do instead of letting you come up with your own plan.

I appreciate you posting these videos! But watching them, it seems like this game just isn't for you---it is asking its players to engage with the game in a way that you do not seem to enjoy. There's nothing wrong with that, of course---not everything is a good match for everyone! But as a longtime viewer, it is hard for me to enjoy watching---if you aren't having fun (and it doesn't seem like you are), then I'm not having much fun either. I apologize for the downer post, I just hope it is helpful for your future planning!
