Completely agree with you. Car should be bought based on requirement and not on budget.
Lot of people think ‘ek baar ki hi to baat hai’. This is not true, recurring costs like insurance, service , fuel and tyres should be taken into consideration. On top of this, if you buy car on loan, you save a lot on EMIs and down payment. Insurance renewal, lower EMIs and interest paid could easily balance the yearly maintenance cost.
Smaller vehicles are easier to park too in city congestion.

Car is a emotion, if you have enough money go for your dream car, loans are blunder, avoid it in car buying. But go for the car you like because life is short, enjoy it.

Very good advise. 👏👏Ego should be replaced by utility needs and saving money. False show off for social status by having costly cars without using it properly is a waste of money.

The advice given in this video is valid only not in India but also across the world. Here in North America, people tend to purchase SUVs not realizing their own needs of vehicle usage.

Same I was thinking to buy 18-20 lakhs car in 2020 year like hector, harrier but after all research end up buying creta base diesel 11.4 lakhs on road and happy as it's fullfill all my requirements
Till now 1.15 lakh km driven low maintenance reliable better aftersale service
Already completed Ahmedabad to lakad, Ahmedabad to nainital Jim Corbett , Ahmedabad to rishikesh mussoorie trip

Fully agree with you. However, buying a car is an aspirational decision. Usually people buy a car at least a segment higher than they can afford - just to show off to their neighbors and friends! Very few are pragmatic in such matters. Debt is not pronounced "Deb-t", but "Det"

It is quite silly to observe. As a well earning loner I invest the extra money in MF and baskets. I rent a cheap flat, I own a scooter here and commute to work with it. Any chick that complains about it can F off. If I want to visit any place in India I fly. I is not worth driving in India. Too dangerous. I have a vacation fund and enjoy Thailand and Malaysia. I drive THERE where its safe and scenic.

Very Nice Video, Gagan Sir and very informative.
Your videos are very informative, helps brings transparency and make users being aware.
I discovered your channel suddenly, one year ago & since then I have been following you.
What I really appreciate is that you always think from a practical point of view.
    Few Suggestions:
When you are reviewing any car, please also show us more about interior, features a little more in depth.
Because Car is still a luxury for many people, and driving dynamics are important but so are the features and benefits.
    By Features, I mean,
How to use certain features, for example,
How to Change Tyre when suddenly the tyre gets flat on the highway.
So how will we remove the spare tyre.
How to clean car seats, Ventelated Seats.
If the car covers are made of cloth, leatherette material how should we keep it in good condition.
How to check if Digital odometer has been tampered.
What is the meaning of Various Engine Lights.
Where to put the Stepany in EV vs ICE cars ? Is there a diffrence.
During Rainy season or during Cold season, if someone is planning to go on a very long trip, how should we all typically plan so as to avoid any hassle.
    There are so many topics.
Hope these will be useful in future videos.

You are correct about Thar. 90% of the Thar buyers haven’t taken it out for soft off-roading also.

Bought XL6 in Oct 2020 as had to dispose of 2010 Innova VX (stupid NCR Green Tribunal ruling!). Best decision, given economic cost and easy 5 yr loan . the EMI is affordable (total cost on road in NCR - 12 lakhs). 6 seater is what we wanted with 2 dogs and 3 persons at home, excluding driver at that point in time. Only regret having to dispose of the Innova which was total 'paisa vasool' car!

Prospective changes from person to person. Though what you saying is not wrong but if a person has done his hard work and wants ro buy a luxury car then no harm. The luxury car will give him desired sense of achievement whenever he is on the driving seat. I am saying from my experience. Though there were cheaper options available I went for my dream car and never regretted. I would have regretted if I would have settled for cheaper alternative. Your suggestion is a subjective analysis which most ppl will agree to and give you likes.

Buying is different than taking a huge loan with interest for a depreciating asset.

    • @arkapadia
      @arkapadia 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@cuckoonut1208 when you have achieved what you intended in life and you would want your wish to come true which you have always dreamt for then no harm in taking a loan which you 100% feel you gonna pay off. People just don't take loan when they don't have cash. It's opted when you don't want to get your money out of business which would give you more returns then a loan. It's prospective Sir. Your thinking is what 99 of people feel but think out of the box.

No Capping, any amount even in crores. If doing high value transfer then a simple gift deed on rs 100 stamp paper with value of gift can be referred in with details

Tata motors major chunk of profit comes from JLR which is hugely dependent on Chinese economy because china supports the demand of JLR ... Tata motors will not react to Indian buyer's sentiments until and unless tata cars sales become the backbone of tata motors stock .

Had a safari storme, sold it, bought a Ford 3 years back, sold that as well, now driving Tata Punch. All requirements fulfilled. To be noted, this is my first new car. All earlier cars were purchased second hand. Safari clocked 90k and ecosport clocked 97k.
