If the line is as bad as you say it is, then why not bring in double tight end sets to max protect? Deion literally said in post-game he doesn't like using tight ends, he'd rather go with high wide receiver sets. It's bad coaching, play calling, and execution. Gota stop just blaming the line.

These defensive ends are running around these tackles with pure ease and manhandling the whole O-line in pass and the run game.
Yeah, it will look like that when your QB is dropping back 10 yards & not stepping up in the pocket. The defensive ends are just running straight upfield. If Sanders's first read is removed, he continues to drop back. In the highlights on 3 step dropbacks or when he utilizes his pocket, they made plays. I'm sure that was the focus at halftime. Then they don't run the ball at all. So yeah, the D-ends are having fun every week. With all those issues combined, it makes the O-line look worse than what they are.
Colorado needs to make adjustments still haven't. If it was me I'd be using some I formation at times putting in a fullback and running back that can block. Shedure holds the ball way to long gotta learn to throw it away and not take those unessary hits

Well we can't really say the RUN GAME because it's not used enough. The offense is trying to emulate the "air raid" made famous from the late Mike Leach but the protection is not there to execute it. The only game that looked like it was the very first game against TCU where everything was fast, with good pass blocking.
Commentators were more excited about a botched snap and the Buffs scoring 2 points than an actual Beaver TD. No bias there at all.
I mean… how often do you see someone actually return the 2-point try all the way back for a score?
One of the commentators actually said "How about this turn around, Colorado needed that badly" with the score 20 - 5 😂 Yup, had them right where they wanted them!

Coach Sanders' clock management was terrible tonight, as it has been in the past .... end of the 1st half he could have run the clock out. They scored instead (the difference in the final score).... and at the end of the game he frittered away a couple of minutes, then ran out of time.... someone get Deion enrolled in a clock management course.

Feel bad for coach Kelly and the defense. They seemed to have improved as the year goes on but then the offense goes three and out and they can only hold these ranked teams down so long. Sometimes time off possession is the best defense and you can see how passionate coach Kelly is on the sidelines
The most consistent thing Deion Sanders has said all year is that Coach Kelly has had them in the right schemes.
They get turnovers and have improved every game. They even get there offense close to scoring and they still can’t score.

Honestly, Colorado looks like a poorly coached team right now. Often appear disorganized, too many dumb mistakes, SO many missed blocking assignments, clock management errors, etc.

The problem is Deion's a good recruiter and promoter, not a good coach. They need to hire a real coach and let him stick to recruiting and being a figurehead.

He was able to, through "creative roster management", assemble a team currently ranked 35th in talent composite rankings - less than ten points behind Utah which is currently 7-2 and an AP Top 20 team currently sitting at #18 in the nation. Demoting Sean Lewis at mid-season in favor of Pat Shurmur was a real head scratcher and sign of desperation, in my opinion. This team has gotten progressively worse as the season has progressed.

From MN here and have been watching this team since December of 22 when Prime got hired. I see the problem. I can't believe he can't see it. It starts with coaching. There's virtually ZERO adjustments. I can tell how this team is going to get beat. And how do you let that big 6' 9" gomer #69 continue to play out there? He's getting beat on every single play. It's like he's got cement for feet. He can't move. Guys can't bull rush him because he has size. They just go around him. Shedeur also takes way too many sacks? He needs to either take off or throw it away. He tries to scramble but he's not fast enough. Then there's the receiver corp that constantly drops catches at the most worst time. D played well tonight. But that stupid coaching decision before the half. That's on the coaches. First, Horn drops and easy pass. Once he did that, you should have ran out the clock. Bad execution and bad coaching cost this team a win. It cost them a win last week as well. Good luck in 25. This year is done.

You’re expecting them to do what exactl his first year? Win 9-11 games? This is a poverty football school that has already won more games this year than the last 2 years combined. I watched his post game interview, he doesn’t directly blame any players. He sent his rb to help with pass blocking but there’s only so much you can do when your oline is constantly getting wrecked. I think there were some ill timed calls made on offense, but you can’t expect every play call to be the perfect call. Dropped passes were an issue.
I said this in another comment but look at Norvell with FSU l. His first 2 years were trash and fans wanted him out, and now they’re 9-0. Coaches need time to develop players and find the ones through transfer portal that can help their team. Oline has been an issue all year and I believe they said during the game that Shadeur is one of the most sacked qbs in all of college football

why? they only won 1 game last season compared to 2023 and are in a rebuild. Im not saying they are going to turn into a power house next season but to go from 1 win all last year to 4 this year is quite the improvement already. People just need to curb their expectations and let CU build a good foundation to get the rest of the program rolling on.
