- Texas never failed to surprise and impress. After enjoying the great sights and eateries traveling around the state, I thought it might be nice to experience some Mexican cuisine...and to no surprise, Houston offers top notch eateries showcasing some of the finest culinary delights.
I found a great Mexican Restaurant featuring Oaxacan cuisine and it gets better as it's a buffet! Xochi offers a Sunday Buffet brunch where you can sample all the dishes and dessert to your heart's content. Amazing moles, tamales, and a large assortment of savoury dishes... And their desserts are second to none!

Another great video, Tim! I'm so impressed with the beautiful colors of the food...pleasing to the eyes, as well as the palate. I really appreciate the way you get only the amount of food you intend to eat and finish what you get. I have seen some videos where the food was barely touched and wasted. Food prices are so high now and so many people in this world don't have enough to eat and going hungry; it is a shame to see good food get wasted. Always glad to see when you put out a new video. Hey, Tim.Great quality Mexican brunch buffet and wonderful value! I love real homemade, Mexican hot chocolate with churros and tres leches cake and Mexican rice pudding (so creamy and cinnamony)I worked at Mexican media Companies,radio,and tv stations in LA and whenever we had potlucks for birthdays, etc. everyone brought in homemade favorites you never really find in restaraunts.Traditional chicken mole with homemade sauce,tamales at Christmas time, so much GREAT food.Also, abuelas used to make cookies and pastries for their fave DJ's and bring in and we all shared it.So yummy!
Hi Deborah, that sounds like the most epic potluck ever! Nothing beats homemade specialties as I suspect restaurants just can't put in all the time required. Having said that, there must be so many great Mercian eateries in LA 😋
@@TimLeeLetsGo Mexican,Latin American,and Asian of every kind.Went to cool Korean/Cali ramen place last night with eclectic menu and great cocktails.Rock music playing.Nice ambience.Next door to a halal Syrian/Lebanese restaurant,which is also delicious.Spoiled for choice,really.

I used to live in Houston, about 30 years ago, and you are making want to go back just to see the changes. I recognized the street you were on, that hasn't changed much.
Love this opening sequence. You keep getting better and better Tim. And as buffet prices go this one seems a great value. Also great because our plans are to drive down through Mexico and South America. We're almost ready with our van conversion which recently has caused us to missed your last episode but we're in foodie catch up mode now:) Such a vast variety of dishes to choose from. @@TimLeeLetsGo soul food would be great because as you know I'm British. And we call cookies biscuits and dip them into our cups of English breakfast tea with milk and sugar! So your biscuits are scones to us. Not savoury at all! I'd love to see you go to New Orleans for the Chargrilled, cheddar Acme oysters and the French dip po' boys I think that's in my number 10 food envy of America. Or 20 or 3o 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️😆😆😆😆

I have not tried a real Mexican meal. You can try a bit of everything in a buffet. I swear I can't remember nor understand what they are when you got them. The food looks so delicious and unique. Thanks, Tim, for sharing.

Definitely a contemporary building space for a Oaxacan / Mexican restaurant (Marriott Marquis DT). Food looked great, but I can’t justify driving 1,000 mi. to eat and the Lear is undergoing maintenance. 🤣😂
