- My American father-in-law was challenged to make Malaysian satay and laksa | Seasons Kitchen sent us a care package and inside, there was a letter together with all ingredients to make these Malaysian dishes. Watch his entire process making this Malaysian favorite and see if he succeeds!

It's called Baju Kelawar (literally translated to Bat Dress) and worn as a nightgown. Rachel feeling like she can fly in it is the perfect reason why the dress is called what it's called. Haha

Baju kelawar Rachel tu kalau di Malaysia makcik2 buat baju harian at home. Sangat selesa ketika musim panas. Agak pelik kalau pakai untuk outing atau ke restaurant. But, maybe minah saleh macam Rachel pakai ke restaurant di US nampak more elegant and stylo gitu. 🤗

It’s more like stay in the house kind of dress Logesh. What Rachel is wearing is call baju kelawar. It is what Malay women’s are wearing when there are not going anywhere. Most of the time they use it as a pajamas.

Rachel got what we call as baju kelawar. Mostly its use at home as it is very comfy but u can also mix n match and wear it outside.

Overall, dad did well in the cooking..
Rachel's gift is pretty much can go either way.. it's a dress/gown.. usually back here in Malaysia (and Malaysians abroad), you can use it as a nightgown (to 😴😴😴), and then wake up still using it to go to the market in the morning.. or wear it the whole day in the house if you're not going out. It's very comfy and cooling at the same time.
The dress that Rachel was wearing is actually baju butterfly. Thats what malay mums normally call the dress. Its for home use not for going out. Luckily i watched your video after my buka, otherwise my stomach will making noise looking at those delicious foods on the table. 😋
that dress rachel wearing,very asian woman thing how she is.. and that dress,from my personal view,mostly were used to be like a night gown/stay at home dres-up like that.. not suitable for outdoor activity.. cos the way that dress is,very much like we guys wearing kain pelikat.. it's windy,comfortable...
