I wish the Misty Mountains theme would have remained the main theme for the Hobbit. It never showed up in Desolation of Smaug or The Battle of the five Armies. I think it's a very strong theme that would have deserved a spot in movies 2 and 3.
I totally agree with you. I don't know why Shore (or the directors) completely abandoned this great theme in the last two Hobbit movies. As you say, it is a strong theme. It's very dwarfish and adventurous.
I think in the 3rd one it didn't really need to be used because it was about their journey (though they could play a soft version (like the intro here), but in the second film it would have brilliant if it had played as they reached the mountain.
It really wouldn't have fit in any where else. It served it's purpose in the book and movie the one time. I do agree with you about how it was a great song though.
The Misty Mountains theme wasn’t written by Shore. I think he wanted to get rid of the tune and feature his own themes for the dwarves. It amazes me how he took the theme in the first film and made it sound like his own by using different kinds of orchestrations. That’s real talent.
I recommend this to all Hobbit fans. Man, if only all Hobbit fans saw this. . .this deserves millions of views. I like, I like. This so awesome. Wish I like this a million times, literally.
This song introduced me to the hobbit...I heard it, became obsessed with it, looked into what the movie was about, watched it, loved it, and the rest is history XD
@@casmsfrought9956 So, this track appears in "On the Doorstep" from Desolation, but I don't know it's actual name. I think it's supposed to be a theme for Erebor.
That cover you did near the end of The Last Goodbye was so unbelievable yet way too short!! I'd love you to make a full version of that it was simply beautiful, epic and awesome.
Oh my god, the "The Last Goodbye"-Part was incredible. I totally would pay money for a orchestrated full version of this song. You did an awesome job. Keep going!
I rarely comment on videos, but yours deserves it. As a film score fanatic, I truly appreciate what you are doing here. I think its quite a gift to be able to craft together different pieces and themes. What you did with the Shire theme is incredible, and it shows how well crafted music can truly express the beauty and glory of the place its describing. I love the recurrence of the misty mountain theme, how you crafted it into a very driving and forceful motif, and how you presented the Audiomachine music to create this great buildup in the middle of track. The reverence of the Last Goodbye is extraordinarily epic, and the orchestration is impeccable (the french horns/strings, how it drives forcefully right into the choir) and how it resolves uneasily to fall right into the Nazgul theme, finally resolving on the Erebor theme. This incredibly good work. Again I can't put into words how impressed I am with your orchestration, your choice of instrumentation, the modifications you made to each of them to create this truly epic piece. I wish I had your talent and understanding of the software that you are using, because it would be very fulfilling to create pieces like this that pay such great homage to the people that created them. I get piercing, powerful goosebumps when I listen to your music, which is my own measure of how incredibly good instrumental music affects me. Please continue to create more of these gems. I honestly cannot stop listening to this music!!! i listened "the last good bye" part before i listened to the original music and im kinda dissapointed with the original music because it sounds different with this cover, this shows me how epic this video is. i wished someone would make the live orchestra based on this cover

I know I'm late to the party, but this is the best remix I've ever heard. Not just of Misty Mountains, but of anything. Keep up the amazing work.
Omg this is amazing!! I've never smiled that much to a made redo of a music piece I love. you're amazing!
Okay, so I clicked on this thinking, "But it's already epic and orchestral!" But you've still done something different with it and it was a pleasure to listen to!
Listening this for 4 years now♥️
Love the "The Last Goodbye" part. The part with the trailer music from Desolation of Smaug (Land of Shadows) sounds so epic!
Among the best covers I've ever heard! Oh how I would like to cover this by myself!!! You must have felt epic when you were playing!!
I honestly cannot stop listening to this music!!! You have done a remarkable job and i love how each part of it encapsulates the different sounds of middle earth, strong and bold for the dwarves, light and delicate for the elves, etc.
As a huge Tolkien fan and lover of the films, I genuinely believe this is so wonderful that it could have been used in the films themselves.
actually gave me goosebumps and at several points made me well up with tears (in a good way) :)
(Also, an excellent song for listening to when you're walking through woodland on a sunny day)
Simply brilliant, amazing work
I´M CRYING......I LOVE YOU MAN!!! YOU MAKE ME A HAPPY HOBBIT FAN......BLESS YOU!!!
I like to hear a guttural sound when it comes to the dwarf part... And there it is. Wow.
i listened "the last good bye" part before i listened to the original music and im kinda dissapointed with the original music because it sounds different with this cover, this shows me how epic this video is. i wished someone would make the live orchestra based on this cover
I listen to A LOT of covers, renditions, orchestral, and honestly, ohmyeverlovinggod!! Seriously, I have yet to hear a piece as well put together as this one. I am at a loss for words. . .well done, very well done! *applauds* Got a sub from me.
When I found this vid that made me sub
no words for this beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't find words to describe how in awe I am with the beauty and magnificence of this!!!
How about a Doctor Who Epic Orchestral Cover?
Splendid Job, Parademics! Especially the Last Goodbye. Would love to see a full version of it :)
