I take my non travel cup everywhere, sometimes to cales, and yes I drive w it, its fantastic when it's freezing outside, though it wont heat for as long.
Wait, that's not actually a thing, is it? I'm reasonably confident it's not, but I also can't be sure, since there is basically a Bluetooth everything.
I bought the Copper version of this Mug for my mother, because I was tired of hearing her complain how her coffee was always going cold. One week in, it was as if I gave her a grandchild she wanted. I decided to buy another one for myself. Since working from home because of the Pandemic. I'm ashamed to admit that this mug is MY LIFE. I work a desk job that demands a ton of reading, and often times I lose track of time. Nothing worse than wanting a cup of something warm, only to find that it has gone cold. I make everything from pulling espresso shots, making lattes, standard pour overs, tea, even just warm water. Honestly, it's made it possible for me to slowly enjoy drinks, over rushing to finish them. I appreciate what this mug gave me, and admittedly, I was skeptical at first. I fell in love with it in the end.
I really want this as a gift, can’t bring myself to buy it. My coworker is constantly showing his off in my zoom meetings, telling me to just do it. I might.
@@lubie_sie_ruszac While good, the problem with that is that it is way too good at keeping things warm/hot for long periods of time. Plus you if you get distracted easily, you still have the problem of overcooling if you remove the lid and wait for it.
@@nper4lta Absolutely. I'm a developer so my job often has periods of intense concentration where you suddenly realise 30 minutes have passed since you last took a sip of your drink. A thermos just wouldn't work for me. I would have to spend time decanting an amount small enough that if I get distracted again it wouldn't go to waste, then re-sealing the thermos. That's just too much messing around which will break my train of thought. I need to be able to pick up a cup, take a sip, and carry on working. In the past I've used a thermos mug and it's not a great solution. You either have to make the drink hot enough that it's really too hot to drink, or you let it cool to drinking temperature but then when you come to drink it in an hour it's not hot enough. Something which can hold the ideal temperature for an hour or two is exactly what I need. I'm just not sure I need it enough to spend £120 (which seems to be the current going rate). If I can snag one at a slightly lower price point I will definitely be interested.
My brother got me the first model for Christmas several years ago. I used it every day at the office until sadly the inside coating did start to flake away. I reached out to Ember and while they assured me that the coating wasn’t toxic or harmful at all, they still offered to replace my mug with a brand new model 2 for free. So I took them up on it, and I still use my Ember 2.0 mug every day at the office. Wonderful product. I will also say that they seem to have resolved the flaking issue in the newer model.
I'll have to email them about my cup inside starting to flake away. Always avoided metal spoons so I was pretty bummed. I've also used it for like 3 years now though...
yeah i dont even drink coffee and ive watched every single one of this guys reviews. very intelligent and articulate. charismatic and humble. also his voice is just smooth as butter.
James I want you to know your reviews are different. You are very honest and open to coffee related products. Not everyone does that now. Too many people are scared of hurting someone's feelings or telling them they have a bad product.
Got 2 of these for Mother's Day earlier in the year, as my wife has a tendency to never finish a cup of coffee or tea as if cools down too much. That's only got worse since we had a baby. Now I can make her a coffee in the morning before she gets up, and it's sitting warm in her mug waiting for her. I've just ordered another one for Christmas as my father in law liked the idea of it. They're a great Christmas present. It's a product that few would buy for themself as it's expensive and silly, but if you get them one they will use it every day. I don't use the app at all. We set the temp she wanted (maximum) and have left it there.
Bought the newer version for my gf for Christmas and she loves it. I was so surprised (and jealous) that I got myself one too. I'm even drinking tea regularly as an excuse to use the cup! My only real complaint is the power cord. I wish it was a usb type that I could connect to a computer rather than a wall wart. It would make relocating the charger much easier. Luckily for me, my gf leaves hers at my place, which means I have hers set up in the living room and mine in the bedroom by the computer.
If you sit at a desk and drink coffee all day, this is the greatest thing ever and 100% worth the pricey investment. Purchased one in Dec 2019, and its the real deal. It completely changes your coffee drinking experience. I love drinking out of my yeti, but a tradional mug can't be beat. This is the perfect companion for the true coffee drinker. Why the desk --- i feel to get the most out of the mug, you need to just let it always sit in the coaster, always being charged so its always ready for your next cup. Shockingly great product. Expensive yes, but worth it
@@-.-.-.-.-.. HA the bripe. James has reviewed and I would be doing it a disservice if I was to tell you what it is. Watch the video. You will not be disappointed!
My son bought me this for Christmas. I was unaware of it until yesterday. Today at work, a nice fresh ground clever processed local bean cup was enjoyed to the very last drop. This afternoon, my Barry’s tea was perfectly timed and temp maintained throughout the entire cup. I may just need to purchase one myself for those work from home days.
Just got one too. My wife got it for me, lightly used at a good deal. I get it. I should be teased... But someone would have to pull this from my cold dead hands.
I got a metal Ember Mug2 14oz for my Birthday about six months ago and it's been fantastic. I had looked at the small 10oz one a couple years ago and it was too small. 14oz is a good size cup.
This is a perfect review. I’ve had my ember mug for about a year and a half, and I love it. It’s ridiculous, I’m mocked for having it at work... but I stand by it, and constantly defend and recommend it! I also had the issue with the v1 of the internal ceramic coating flaking, and ember replaced it, so amazing customer service too. If you’re ever considering one of these, do it!
My wife and I have the Ember mugs for about three years and absolutely love them. We are retired and enjoy a long peacefully breakfast, Reading the newspaper and watch the hummingbirds. Before the first mug, my wife was reheating her coffee two to three times per meal. Now with the Ember, the enjoy of a long relaxing breakfast is back. I love your videos and have learned more about the world of coffee. thanks
Mine worked well for a couple of years, then the inside finish starting flaking off. I didn't want to swallow whatever the flakes were made of so I took it to the toxic waste dump and bought a Fellow 12oz. ceramic coated insulated mug for 1/3 the cost of the Ember. Works extremely well.
I bought a mug-heating “coaster” from Amazon for less than $20 and it keeps my coffee at the perfect temperature for a long time. I get to use my novelty mugs, mugs linked to fond memories, or any other mug I want for that matter and best of all, no firmware required.
I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself a year ago, based partly on Mr. Hoffmann's positive review. And the only regret I have is that I didn't but one sooner. I continually joke that it is the most bourgeoisie thing I've ever bought, and I absolutely love it.
Huh this sounds perfect for someone like me who drinks all their coffee (or any drink really) painfully slow. I'm also notorious for getting a cup of tea started and then forgetting I started brewing it and returning about an hour later to a cold cup of tea....
Klean Kanteen insulated mug. As someone who likes to consume large amounts of tea and who hates having to throw away e-waste, it's perfect. A whole pint. Portable too, and also keeps things cold. With the lid off, tea gets to the perfect temp range in about 20 minutes and stays there for about half an hour. Lid on gives me 2+ hours at a good temperature. And it will last forever, literally this thing will outlast me.
Please, help me get out of working with Fahrenheit! And feet/inches! And ounces! Stupid royals, this is their fault, and we Americans don’t even approve of such a thing.
Considering how about half of all the coffee that i pour into my cup gets cold and thrown away, I wounder how long it would take for it to "pay" for it self
My wife and I have the travel mugs and love them. Fill them up with coffee from our Technivorm each morning. We keep our charging coasters at work, have a spare charger at home to top them off before each morning, if needed.
I am lucky enough to have a friend who got the Ember Travel Mug (the $150 one) as a gift from his company, and he agreed to a trade it with me. I love it. I'm not sure I would have spent that money to buy it, or be able to justify it to my wife, but I feel that now that I own one would probably buy it again. I enjoy V60 coffees and nice teas in this mug, and it's very nice to just work away at the computer and sip a consistently warm delicious beverage. Even though I mainly use it in the office, I'd see it as a good option to splurge on the Travel Mug, as it is leak proof, and if you're outside your office it's nice to have.
I LOVE my ember mug. I have children and they often prevent me from enjoying my coffee while it's hot. Best gift I ever received! As for the thermos idea, I hate drinking coffee out of metal and I hate how hot it keeps it. Ceramic is much better.
It shouldn't be smart. It should have some sort of self-contained circuitry; no need for phone notifications, or updating firmware. It could do with a couple segment digit displays, a few LEDs and a few capacitive buttons; the bill of materials would be less than $10 at scale. I would actually like that.
I encountered your channel long after this video, and after I bought this mug for my wife for a Christmas gift. I had seen it in the store, for $100usd and thought exactly the same thing you thought, that it's the most ridiculous thing ever. And then I realized that it was honestly the perfect gift for my wife, for exactly the same reasons you mention in this video. Our only complaint is that the connection to the phone can be really spotty, updating the firmware is really temperamental. She uses it every day and loves it. And I want one too now.
as a mother, who can’t sit and drink an entire cup of coffee before it gets cold and hates having to reheat her coffee all day long, this is the greatest thing i have ever seen.
I bought one for my wife so she would stop having to microwave her coffee every day. She loves it and it saves my sanity from having to tell her that she’s ruining the experience by microwaving 😂
I felt the same way about the Aeropress when I first watch a demonstration video three years ago. Then about two years later I saw a video demonstrating how the Aeropress could be used to make, maybe not exact espresso, but close enough to make lattes at home. I broke down and ordered one and now I have no idea how I ever lived without it!.
I think I would like it too. I have some problems with the product design though. Why even bother with a battery? A Mug lives on its little plate. There is wall power. Batteries don't like it hot. This will not last too long. And hell yea, inductive coupling OF COURSE!
It’s been more than 6 years now since I started using mug warmer. An iron hotplate which keeps the mug warm. It is very cheap nothing complicated nor fancy. I can’t control the temperature of my coffee but at least it keeps it warm enough to enjoy for as much as I need. I have a very busy job where I move away from my office all the time and from that day I’ve never waisted coffee or forced myself to drinks it cold! 🙌🏻❤️
I feel for you Mr. Hoffman, but I, too, bought one, and have been pleasantly surprised, as you had been. I use mine at home and the fact that the battery lasts for 90 minutes, lets me take it out to the garden on colder winter days and keeps the coffee hot enough. Its ridiculously priced, but that's mainly due to the battery- for someone who sits at a desk, a cheaper USB mug would suffice. It's meant for people. who love their beverage at just the right temp and want to cut the cord. Like you say, it extends the sweet spot in a way a microwave, thermos or insulated mug just cannot I have a white one- big mistake, tends to stain, is not like a regular white ceramic mug. I should have bought black
I grabbed one of these after watching this review, and I love my Ember mug. I work at a desk all day, so I can keep the mug squarely situated on the charging coaster 99% of the time. The app is pretty nice, with tea timers and everything. But I do find myself wishing it was all done on the coaster or the mug itself so I didn't need to pull out my phone.
I have something which I call a "tea lid" it's essentially like a coaster which you put over your mug to keep the contents from cooling too quickly. I have a few silicone ones for home which works for a number of different mug widths, and a wooden one in the office which fits my office mugs perfectly, but not all my home mugs. You can get them for quite cheap, they let things cool more quickly then a thermos, but slower than an uncovered mug because of the reduced evaporation. (If I don't have my tea lid with me, I just use a coaster or a bit of paper)
I have one of these (given as a gift) and I honestly love it. I get out of bed, make my coffee into the Ember mug, take a few sips and have a shower, 10 mins later it's still the perfect temperature. I get dressed, and ready for work as I continue to drink my coffee, it's still nice and warm even though there's only a couple of sips left. It's a completely unnecessary luxury, and it's AWESOME.
40 seconds in and I'm practically crying, laughing so hard. "...update the firmware on my coffee cup," was just too much, this morning. P.S. Now that I watched the rest of it, though...make it less than $75, and I'll have one in my office. I do that all the time.
Absolutely agree. While it IS kind of ridiculous, IF it were $25 bucks, I'd be all in. Another type that could easily be marketed to (again, only if a lot less expensive) would be those who have had any type of "bariatric surgery". After gastric bypass many years ago.. (just like w/ eating) when drinking coffee or anything, can never take huge gulps OR drink quickly anymore. Evvvvverything has to be sip, sip.. wait... repeat. Cannot tell you how many times I have to re-heat my coffee every morning.... OR, worse, a lot of times, will just be too lazy & deal with it. Never thought it could happen, but I've gotten quite used to just drinking & eating things closer to room temp, if too much to keep re-heating (which, with coffee, food anything.. def. changes flavor anyway) ~ Annoying perhaps, BUT... for $80, yeah... I'll keep using the microwave if/when needed.. or just drink/eat it cold. They could prob score big if it were cheaper to all those post-op. The surgery has become a LOT more popular/common since I had it done.. but slow drinking is definitely a 'thing'. Stay safe & be well.
Just got the ember 2 for Christmas and love it. The main benefit for me is that it relieves the stress I used to feel when I had to chug down the last 1/4 of my coffee when I knew I could not tolerate any further drop in temperature. Now I can just sip away to the very bottom.
I've never seen so much internal conflict in under 10 minutes. There was a real coming of age moment for me when James said "but they're also having a kind of a good time with it".
I agree James,, temperature of what you drink is important, beer should stay cold, coffee should stay warm! I want one,and I’m just going to enjoy getting teased, while sipping my perfectly warmed coffee ☺️
My Parents got me one last xmas - my Dad said he saw it and said, "That's Landon." and pulled it off the shelf immediately. (Or put it in his online shopping cart.) So that should tell you a bit about me. But do love it, and I use it all the time! And at home, actually. I like to savor my coffee, drink it over a long period of time. And this lets me do that without cooling off. It's GREAT! My one gripe James touched on - it needs to be bigger. When then come out with a larger capacity I'll get that one too.
I bought this mug largely on James' recommendation. Work at a desk? Easily distracted? That's me. I'm embarrassed to say how much joy one extravagant product has brought to my life.
My wife bought me this for our anniversary. BEST GIFT EVER! It is also the talk of my office. I’ll make my French press coffee at my desk and my French press keeps it warm enough for a while but now I can pour some in the ember mug and I am now able to keep it warm the entire time I drink it. I honestly have nothing bad to say about It other than I should have gotten the bigger version.
Cool concept, but for the price.... I don't know...would make a good present though. Something I wouldn't pick up myself but as a gift it would be nice.
I'm surprised you have such a challenge with this item, I think it makes more sense than you give it credit for. I've always found that, when I get filter coffee especially, I want to enjoy it for longer at the ideal temperature. It's expensive but I'm both a bit upset when my coffee is too hot to enjoy the most or also too cold. It's not for everyone, sure. But it makes sense to many coffee enthusiasts I think
I have a 32 oz stainless steel , lidded, vacuum-insulated tumbler for my coffee. It keeps the coffee hot for a long time. It's the best coffee cup I've had.
It makes me happy to see James as conflicted on this mug as I am! It's a product that is worthy of the ridicule it receives... and yet it's also wonderful. The Ember mug is probably one of the best gadgets I've bought in years.
okay, i just bought the ember mug 2 as a present for one of my best friends who's obessed with tech and connectivity stuff... this is the best usecase for the ember. he works 90% from home and can update his mug... it's a match :D
"That moment where I pick up my mug. And I think I have more coffee than I do. And then I find I don´t. And I´m sad." I didn´t know until now, but I suffer from this very phobia.
I love my ember mug. I've used it daily at work for the last 3 years and the battery is still going strong. So nice to be able to get distracted and come back to a still-perfect cup of coffee
I have the travel mug (and car charger) and it's low key my favourite piece of tech. But I completely agree that it's for a specific type of person. I mostly work from my desk, I often get pulled into random meetings (personally don't like drinking coffee while talking), and on the occasional time I need to be in the office it's a 90 minute commute. This thing is perfect for me, even if my friends think I'm insane.
If James love it then I’m sold! I just got this mug2 couple days ago. OMG, it makes my siphoned coffee taste so much better at a consistent temperature throughout! Before owning one of these, I would drink piping hot coffee fast before it get cold or wait till it cooldown and the coffee would ended up too cold and taste awful!
I’ve had it for over 2 years and use it more for tea, gotta say... I’m kinda happy w it. A little tip, keep a bottle of room temp water next to it and you’ll have bottomless tea. 🤯
I have one and love using at work since I often get pulled away from my desk without even having a sip. I do have to say if you add milk to your coffee you will get a film on top. Not super pleasant. But great for black coffee or tea. Side note I bought mine with a gift card never would have bought it with my hard earned cash.
I recently bought an ember smart mug from Square Mile, and due to Brexit, DHL needed to register it with customs. Since they weren't aware of what it was, I had to explain to the guy at DHL that I was buying a smart mug to keep my coffee at the right temperature. It was an amusing conversation---definitely a first for the representative. Let's hope customs have a product category or create one under which DHL can register this, so that I can get my mug.
I'm late to the party but I have one of these. It was a gift from a friend who never used it. I work at my desk aaaaalll day long and it's brilliant. I can even bring it to meetings (as it's battery powered) and still enjoy my coffee at a warm temperature an hour later. Not sure I'd actually buy one, however, because, well, it's 80 quid.
Your review is still spot on. I was given this as a gift and immediately noticed how much better it was that my entire cup was the same temperature, it feels obnoxious to own such a thing, feels like a total excess of modern luxury, but I also think its amazing and couldn't be happier.
Seriously thinking about getting this, I have a curse that every time I just finished brewing coffee a bunch of clients would come in and every time we finish my coffee would be cold.
I think this might still be my favourite review. Just James talking to the camera in a witty, candid way about something which should be ridiculous but is actually great. I hope something else makes this happen again. TH-cam coffee gold.
I want one. I have the same issue - I stare at computer screens all day long and get distracted continuously. So, I have three choices - drink the cup faster than I should to enjoy the desired temperature, drink it at whatever mediocre temperature it falls to as I take a reasonable amount of time to consume it, or, worse yet, go warm the contents in the MICROWAVE - sometimes more than once. UGH. I don't see this device as indulgent or over-the-top. This is a tool for maintaining the quality of a coffee until it can be consumed and maximum enjoyment derived. Scoffers and naysayers can think what they like, but are encouraged to refrain from shaming others for feeling otherwise. I love your videos by the way - always entertaining, always educating, always elevating.
I loved this review. Sorry, I had to look up farenheit to celcius conversion to see what temp you drink your coffee..I drink mine at 57 celsius. My husband bought me the 14oz mug for Christmas last year. He was tired of finding my coffee mugs cold in the microwave. I love it so much that I purchased a second one in June. I am retired, and love my morning quiet time with a good cup of coffee, a great book and pets at my feet. This mug is the answer to a dilemma. When reading a great book, I tend to ignore time and inevitably my coffee would go cold. Now I can sit for over an hour reading and continue to drink a wonderful warm cup of coffee (or tea). The only downside I see is that it takes up to 2 hours to recharge. I tend to drink a lot of coffee and tea, so the second cup is for use while the first is re-charging.
Get the thermos. It's amazing. I struggle with the company, the CS take forever to get back to people. However the product was worth the wait and hassle and I hate that... But the travel mug 2 is the best product i've bought in a loooonnnng time.
Wife just got me one and i love it i work at a desk fulltime and spend much of my time at home at a desk and this is perfect for keeping my coffe a drinkable temperature
Ok, ok, ok, was intrigued and sort of understood the problem with always ending up with lukewarm and cold coffee in the cup. I have been using stainless steel thermos type mugs to good effect, but still inevitably ending up with lukewarm coffee half way through a cup. So I saw this video and ordered one on Amazon. I saw the new copper mrk2 on the American Amazon at a really good price, and only $8 shipping to the UK. 5 days latter it arrives and I am so so so so happy with it. James is right, it just makes the whole experience far more pleasurable. Also the copper one is a work of art. I like the weight and what surprised me is that the base has rubber/silicon ring so when you place it don on a hard surface it is like putting it down on a rubber coaster, so no irritating clunk. One negative - in my rush to order I neglected to think about the charger. It is dual voltage, so works on 240v but has the American two prong system, so I have to use an adapter. No stress really, just unsightly. If you have money burning in your pocket then get one, its great.
If they had this, a heated mug with a temperature setting, but without bluetooth or wifi--preferably completely analog--I might really be tempted. But I'm allergic to the "smart" appliances angle, and I think the humble mug is a gizmo too far.
I have one. You really only need to use the app exactly once to pick the hold temperature you want. (And if you are ok with the default, you do not even need to do that.) After that, it just works. You pour coffee in and it keeps it the right temperature to the last drop.
You don't have to use the smart features...I haven't ever downloaded the app. The mug works perfectly and even turns on automatically as soon as you pour the coffee into it.
I saw a travel mug once, that had a wax-filled core in it. When you put hot coffee in it, and put the top on, the wax melts, consuming a lot of energy from the coffee, cooling it to a comfortable temperature to drink. As the wax freezes again, it releases energy, keeping the coffee at that temperature. I think it was around 52*C.
@@leonawroth2516 Yes and No. While the coffee will cool at some rate, when the wax freezes again, that's a phase change which consumes/produces far more energy than a temperature change. Just like Ice, at -1C is /significantly/ better at keeping a beverage cool than the same mass of water at 1C, the wax, as it freezes will release energy, not from just cooling, but from the phase-change from liquid to solid. /That/ is what regulates the temperature.

In the past I've used a thermos mug and it's not a great solution.

4 months later, he was still able to resist :).
I also set the tepm at maximum but the problem is the battery life becomes very short. Like maybe 40 minutes or even 35.
You’re becoming too good at talking to your viewers 😂
I feel like I have a new best friend :’)
Best coffee personality on TH-cam! Keep up the great work you
If you sit at a desk and drink coffee all day, this is the greatest thing ever and 100% worth the pricey investment. Expensive yes, but worth it
I'd bring this to work if my work coffee didn't taste like dog urine. Mine stays at home with my Italian espresso machine!
That cup is probably the most preposterous coffee paraphernalia ever invented James. Where can I buy one? 😂
Oh sweet summer child, wait until you learn about the bripe...
Don't think I could ever buy this for myself, but if I opened it on Christmas I think I'd be rather ecstatic. Glad you embraced the ridiculousness!
Got one for Christmas 2021. Can't wait to try it.
This is the most absurd, frivolous waste of money on such a silly product.
But I want it
The Gobfather For gifts, it’s great. Someone works in a cubicle and would love this as a gift.
I love your videos and have learned more about the world of coffee. thanks
Enjoy the retirement and great coffee ☕️
I'd like to see an update on this, primarily how it's held up and whether or not you still actually use it.
Not sure if you've seen his most recent video about reheating coffee but your wish has been granted

Noo don't try to jailbreak it!
Good point. I use as well. All good. Any mug … and then into the D/W.
I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself a year ago, based partly on Mr. Hoffmann's positive review. And the only regret I have is that I didn't but one sooner. I continually joke that it is the most bourgeoisie thing I've ever bought, and I absolutely love it.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
I'll take ten.
James, this is far and above my favorite product review you've done. Hilarious, personable, and extremely entertaining. Thank you for being awesome.
As someone who has this for nearly a year and having ADD this is a lifesaver.

Can it warn you if you haven't consumed enough coffee?
Geoff Goldplum it connects to your Apple health app (if you have an iPhone) and it can calculate your caffeine intake and things like that, kinda neat
Or too much coffee?
I LOVE my ember mug. I have children and they often prevent me from enjoying my coffee while it's hot. Best gift I ever received!
As for the thermos idea, I hate drinking coffee out of metal and I hate how hot it keeps it. Ceramic is much better.
It shouldn't be smart. It should have some sort of self-contained circuitry; no need for phone notifications, or updating firmware. It could do with a couple segment digit displays, a few LEDs and a few capacitive buttons; the bill of materials would be less than $10 at scale. I would actually like that.
Once you set it up, you don't have to use the app. It will remember your last settings each time.

"I'm troubled by this. I'm troubled by it."
And I want one too now.
as a mother, who can’t sit and drink an entire cup of coffee before it gets cold and hates having to reheat her coffee all day long, this is the greatest thing i have ever seen.
as a father, I'll probably go through 3 of those a month considering the half life a mug or drinking glass has in a household with kids. :-)
Reheated coffee is the most horrible thing in the world :( it just gets ruined
Get a Stanley trigger action travel mug.
Keeps coffee hot forever. Problem solved. £80 mug? INSANE.
I bought one for my wife so she would stop having to microwave her coffee every day. She loves it and it saves my sanity from having to tell her that she’s ruining the experience by microwaving 😂
Oh god, I hope she doesn't microwave this mug...
Like you say, it extends the sweet spot in a way a microwave, thermos or insulated mug just cannot
I have a white one- big mistake, tends to stain, is not like a regular white ceramic mug.
Just came back to this after the coffee reheat video, this is a great review and video
“Dad, what does “first world problem” mean? “
“Let’s google that later, son, I’m having trouble with my Ember Mug firmware updates right now...”

So glad I found this. I work from home and often get busy with work and then finish a cold cup of coffee. Can’t wait to get mine.
exact same scenario I had, and this mug solved this problem. I love it
I'm surprised you have such a challenge with this item, I think it makes more sense than you give it credit for.
I drink my tea in a travel mug at my desk because it goes cold in a regular mug. Now I'm watching this thinking, "oh no...must resist."
I recently received one of these as a gift, and I absolutely love it. You're right that it lives on my desk and I couldn't be happier.
"That moment where I pick up my mug. And I think I have more coffee than I do. And then I find I don´t. And I´m sad."
I didn´t know until now, but I suffer from this very phobia.
I love my ember mug. I've used it daily at work for the last 3 years and the battery is still going strong. So nice to be able to get distracted and come back to a still-perfect cup of coffee
I thought Larry David had invented that in Season 10 of curb. I'm impressed
This thing is perfect for me, even if my friends think I'm insane.

talisolin who’s AvE?
If James love it then I’m sold! I just got this mug2 couple days ago. OMG, it makes my siphoned coffee taste so much better at a consistent temperature throughout! Before owning one of these, I would drink piping hot coffee fast before it get cold or wait till it cooldown and the coffee would ended up too cold and taste awful!
I've officially snapped! Self isolation has made me go crazy and I've just bought one....
How is it and what is your temp?
2 months later, how is it? Do you like it? I'm thinking of picking one up myself as a late birthday present.
We’re waiting for your feedback
We can only conclude that it killed you.
I was given this as a gift and immediately noticed how much better it was that my entire cup was the same temperature, it feels obnoxious to own such a thing, feels like a total excess of modern luxury, but I also think its amazing and couldn't be happier.
just got this mug for christmas and so far it is over the top but there is nothing like a well balanced coffee.
Seriously thinking about getting this, I have a curse that every time I just finished brewing coffee a bunch of clients would come in and every time we finish my coffee would be cold.
I love my Ember mug! No more microwaving my coffee every half hour!
"The other temperature" that is next level shade hahaha
My immediate thought was "I want to cook food in that temperature controlled cup."
Get the thermos. It's amazing. I struggle with the company, the CS take forever to get back to people. However the product was worth the wait and hassle and I hate that... But the travel mug 2 is the best product i've bought in a loooonnnng time.
you have discussed things that are far more ridiculous on this channel
Good point, I really miss the "clear-product" tasting session Lol
Wife just got me one and i love it i work at a desk fulltime and spend much of my time at home at a desk and this is perfect for keeping my coffe a drinkable temperature
If it was £30 I would probably get one
It probably could be that cheap soon if your OK with a knock off because it's a pretty simple product and it'll show up on aliexpres or bang good soon
That would be getting too close tho what it cost them to manufacture. The cost probably being closer to $7.
The cooling part seems fine, but the wax will cool at the same rate as the coffee will cool down. So there is no "releases energy".
