It seems that I don't hear the keywords that I like to hear. Reliability, Long distance with no problem, Serviceability, Capability of operating even in extreme cold or heat. When I listen to this all I hear is more expensive.Vehicles that will not last more than a hundred and fifty thousand miles.
ICE and NiMH aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Major manufacturers are beating a hasty retreat from EV cars. The technology and metals are just not there yet.
No, it's the legacy auto makers that are not there yet. They can't figure out how to adapt their old, moribund businesses to this new technology. The "technology and metals" have been there since 2010 when Nissan & Tesla started making EVs. The legacy auto makers *could* have been climbing that learning curve for well over 10 years. But instead they buried their heads in the sand. Just like *you* are doing.
How much did you get paid to tell misleading information . Where are the evidence of your b..t . If you really believe it the buy GM stock . Are GM and other dying automotive try to gain time? We are not stupid so tell us how much did you get paid😂
GM has built reliability. Mine is a 25 yo Silverado with 290k. Engine has had regular maintenance and has never been torn down. Since I'm 76, I think I will keep it. I have an EV, it's called a golf cart.
We'll see. I am a doubting Thomas on all this new technology that is going to make EVs history. Let's see you build a sustainable vehicle for under $20k that has a life expectancy of at least 200K miles. I'm anxiously waiting!
EVs are constantly growing the percentage of new car sales world wide. Unfortunately The big 3 and Volks Wagon are not on the leading edge of EVs. ICE engines are becoming obsolete. As EVs get more popular, there will be more EV charging stations than gas stations. Mass produced ICE engine cars have about 125 years of development and refinement, EVs about 20 years. If the big 3 don't get caught up with the new EV manufacturers, they will all go bankrupt. Sad but, that is the facts.
@@kylemacgregor4211 New companies going bankrupt every year. The hype is gone and we have a reverse trend. You are drumming an old story. The prices of used EV's are plummeting. I'm not happy about it, but these are the facts. I have 7.56 kW solar and 2 Tesla PW's on a roof of my house, I would love to buy a new electric pick-up truck like Fisker Alaska, but what I see is not good and too expensive and Fisker is gone.
In EV cars, the battery weights over 1,000 pounds, on gas / ICE cars about 100 pounds. Plus Lithium batteries are heavy polluters with Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel, Manganese and other toxic metals.
You might approach Carnot efficiency, but that still means wasting more than half of the chemical energy of your fuel. And if nearly all cars are battery powered where do you think you will find a place to buy fuel?
As there was no future for steam power on railways when electric and diesel power arrived, so there will be no future for cars with infernal combustion engines now batteries are improving very fast. Burning fuel still means producing carbon dioxide and other pollutants poisoning the environment, especially the cities.

1st step, The cars must be reasonably affordable.
This is 11:35 of bunch of words and time that I will not get back

Bla Bla bla
I had a bad feeling about electric cars from the beginning, the logistics of keeping the battery charged is not practical for a broader application!

Demand for EV's is not surging.

Yes in china and tesla still growing
@@NL-vh6cm BYD is going bankrupt and Musk is talking about focusing on energy and not cars. BTW: China is imploding in every way possible.
