I've always loved mixed media Monday but today helped me to relax also. My sister passed away last Wednesday so it has been very difficult and still have the service to go through this week. Your soothing voice and calm mannerism has given this grieving lady a peaceful hour. Thank you !

Barbara - I'm so sad to read your comment. I have 2 sisters who mean the world to me. I can't imagine your loss. It's good to know that you can find a little comfort in our wonderful crafting community. I agree Gayle's voice is always calm and soothing and an uplifting part of the day. I pray you get through these next days and remember the things you loved most about your sister.

I enjoy watching you create. You are very inspiring for sure. So many beautiful napkins and such little time. Could watch you decoupaging napkins all day. Can’t wait to see the final results. Oh Gayle, I remember laying out in the sun with baby oil rubbed all over. We had no idea how bad that was. I would burn so bad that I looked like a lobster and couldn’t even lay down. Such silly teenagers we were. Those were the days! Thank you for sharing 🤗

This is one of my favorite projects of yours. I remember the one-armed video. It was one of the first ones I watched on your channel. I so look forward to your videos every day. They’re so inspiring and relaxing and give me a break from everything going on in the world that gives me anxiety. I think we’re going to have zoom holidays this year with the extended family. I still have two kids at home, though, so we’ll have some semblance of normalcy.

I will have to try this route. I’ve been using Vaseline on mine and it works but last time I opened the jar was on a warmer day and it got a little messy to deal with. Your suggestion just may be the solution that I’ve been needing. 👍🏻tfs.

Gayle, I love this idea. I am planning on traveling to California from Missouri to celebrate Thanksgiving with my brothers and families. My dad will be 96 yrs old on Nov 5th and my youngest brothers who are twins will turn 60 on Nov 22nd. Hopefully there will not be Covid issues or violence after the election which would impact our traveling plans. The holidays are always enjoyable when families can celebrate together. I pray your family will be safe and you can enjoy Thanksgiving together and maybe even Christmas. God Bless.

I did the same as you, sunburned many times. Some with blisters. I was very fair and my sister is olive. I tried to stay at the pool as long as she did. I go at least once a year to the dermatologist. I had one carcinoma on my face and a biopsy on two other places on my arm. I hate what I did to my skin. I wish I had known the damage I was doing.

It's so pretty, can't wait to see it complete. I had to laugh when you talked about needing the backs if you can't get toilet paper, y hubby is 1 of ten kids in his family, so toilet paper was an issue at his house. So as long as I've known him he makes sure we have at least enough toilet paper for a year....lol, it's a joke between my daughter and I. But, it turned very good for us when there was a shortage. We even had to deliver some to my daughter lol. Have a great day!!!!! 😉

Hey Gayle! Just loved how these turned out! So colorful and fun!
So, my hubby will be retiring in a few months. We are discussing where we are going to live after. We know it won't be in PA. Always said it would be West somewhere near mountains. Well, this last few weeks we've been looking at Montana. Cascade area. It's not too far from Maelstrom AFB, which would utilize as my hubby was 21 years in the Air Force. And believe it's not too far off Helena. It's my hubby's plan to do lots of trout fishing like he used to do when he lived in WY. Not sure if the idea will stick...we've looked at other places and keep debating it. But we've seen property in the Cascade area we really like. It's like what I've pictured in my head for a long time for where we need to settle. It's fun to think about and who knows, maybe if would give you and me an opportunity to meet. That is if you would be open to that. I honestly would never push myself on you, Gayle.
Anyway, I sure hope your week is going well. God bless! Sue

    • @gayleagostinelli_ct
      @gayleagostinelli_ct  4 ปีที่แล้ว

How exciting for you both, Sue! Yep, Cascade is just up the road a bit! It’s between here and Great Falls where Maelstrom is located. It would be so fun to meet you! Let’s hope this rotten virus goes away, so socializing is doable again!! Best of luck with your decision! Enjoy the process and keep me updated!! Big hugs to you, my friend! ❤️

🎉i just found this and I love it. I tried this process yesterday. I used a light piece of fabric and 6 layers of napkins...2 layers of random pieces, 2 layers of white napkin pieces. I let it sit overnight. This morning, it was so stiff that I could barely bend it. The piece of fabric was kinda bubbled up on the outide and when I tried to bend the piece to book shape, the fabric just slid right off and into the floor. Any ideas on what I did wrong.

Interesting! I might have to try that! Our Dollar Tree used to have a good variety of decorative napkins, but lately, not so good. Also, Tuesday Morning had a good selection several years ago. Salina had a Tuesday Morning years ago, but it didn't stay long. Wichita had 2 but closed one recently and the last time I was in one there, the selection was not very good. I guess for a paper cover it wouldn't matter on lower layers if the napkins were pretty or not. I am also wondering if you can water down Elmers Glue instead of Modge Podge. I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you!

I have a pole with a suction thing that helps to change light bulbs, so you don't always have to get on a ladder. It probably doesn't work in all situations though.

Gayle, could you use wrapping paper along with the napkins? Also, can you use all kinds of fabric, or only cotton? Thanks! I have been wanting to do this for a long time.

Tissue paper might be okay, but not regular wrapping paper. Thicker paper makes the fabric paper to hard to bend. That’s why napkins are the perfect thickness. They make the fabric paper strong by pliable. ❤️

Hi Gayle. I was looking for the finished and dried photo of these. You say at the end you'd show them the next day but that video is about digitals and etsy. Did you ever share these when done? Thanks. Ps I'm a fairly new subscriber

If you search Gayle Agostinelli Fabric Paper, some of the videos that come up are a start to finish journal with the fabric paper cover in it’s final form. 😁❤️

Fabric is the first layer and will become the inside of the cover. Then 7 or 8 layers of napkins. ❤️

Gayle, have you tried ironing the napkins to copy paper by placing the plastic wrap in between the napkin and paper? Just curious.

Hi Gayle, where do you get your pins from for your blues please? I keep buying them and they either rust or bend easy. Thank you x

I’ve received them in happy mail. But the trick is to use only stainless steel pins for your glue. ❤️
