It's called "squirreled". 🤣🤣 You remember the cartoon with the dog that would never finish talking because a squirrel would run by and he'd take off? My sister does that a lot while shopping.

The last three days I’ve tea dyed paper and fabric. Then I watched one of your previous cover videos. I made 10 covers, 5 of which I used Amazon packaging. It is fun to hear the popping. I sew on an old Singer Featherweight that has no zig zag. After sewing once around the cover, I did a wavy stitch line around the cover, criss crossing over the straight line of stitching.
Thanks for showing various cover styles. Have you ever thought of just selling journal covers, plain and decorated? I know I'd buy one providing I got to your very popular Etsy shop in a timely manner. Just a thought..
Hi Gayle, I kind of zoomed along this video , though I enjoyed it 😄 too. I'm looking for the fabric cover video where after you modge, tissue paper them and then let them dry 4 days. Thank you sincerely 🙏 ps Keep in mind to have fresh needles as you are sewing paper to fabric and the needle would dull faster with the paper. 💖

These were all so cute!!!!! But you about scared me to death, I was outside with the new puppy letting it play and I was watching you… about the time you started to put glue on the bubble wrap I turned to watch puppy, well the sound reminded me of rattlesnake rattle and I jumped up looking for one… then realized it was coming from the video, so I sat down and had huge lol….but it gave heart a good workout!!!🤣🤣🤣❤️💕❤️💕

I remain amazed at how much you accomplish in one video. I love all the covers, but the last one was my favorite. I am excited to see how you eventually fill them up with luscious things. You are so kind and generous to offer your time as a fund raiser for the YWCA. You do so many things that continue on to change lives and give hope. If cloning ever becomes a thing, you should certainly volunteer!

Hello Gayle, loved the mass fabric cover makes, they are lovely. Yesterday Amazon delivered 2 packages and my hubby got them and brought them to me in the kitchen and when I saw the packaging (the white bubble mailers) I said 'Yes, yes finally I got some', to which my husband said 'isn't it my 2 vitamins?', so then had to explain, which just got a head shake. TFS
They just don't understand

Did you know fabri-tac has a spray now? It's a pump spray (not aerosol) so I think one would have some control over the spray or it wouldn't spray too far. I hope I remember to use it when I make my next set of covers.

I’m hosting this July retreat. I do go to some of my friends retreats too. I announce my retreats here on my TH-cam channel. You could ask at your local craft store. Facebook groups might be a source too. ❤️

Gayle I watch you from New Zealand I watched Unbelievable, it was good. Laughed about your cheese hanging off the cracker. Years ago my ex boyfriend used to say THE CHEESE HAS SLID OFF THE CRACKERS, maybe it has changed over the years, cracked me up when he said it and I have used it since for when someone ain't quite right ha ha.

Loved seeing someone else’s process. I use spray adhesive to adhere material, and I like to pink the edges. Very nice mass make❤️

I didn’t do a video. I put that pink collage for slow stitching together at my last retreat. But I have done similar ones on camera before. If you search Gayle Agostinelli Slow Stitch, the videos will probably come up. ❤️

I’m so motivated to get covers done! I have a lot of company during the summer months…and all the time, really, since we moved to the Lake but I’m excited to get some crafting time in! It’s a joy to have my people come and still have fun things when they leave. Thanks for sharing this!
You could always do fabric belly band on the inside if your fabric cover if a pocket dose not work
You are amazing. To create so many covers in an hour. I think my "thinkery" gets too involved in crafting because it would take me half a day to do one. 🥴 Every single cover you made is just gorgeous. So many yummy fabrics!

Glad you "kept us a little long" because that last cover was gorgeous! It would have been a shame to miss it. All of the covers came out great. I am one of the ones that sometimes struggles with what to do for the cover
I love watching you put together your covers. So far when you make these types of covers the end up being one signature journals. I wonder how to use your method but somehow include a spine for a bigger journal result?

Love love this. Someone recently gave me some fabric and said it looked like my journals. Absolutely beautiful. So I have not done that yet, so glad to see this. So I have a question? So you leave the edges raw. Don’t have to turn them under or anything like a hem. I have so many ideas in my head! Love love this! I’ve done the fabric covers both ways, raw edges and turned over with finished edges. I have a playlist called Journal Cover Series. I don’t recall if I’ve done a finished edge fabric on camera, but it’s the same process I use for tissue paper or Kraft paper, so those videos might be helpful. ❤️

I am going to attempt a fabric collage cover for my quilting journal. I need to do some thinking about it first though. I like your method though and will do this in future journals for gifts.

Today after watching you make all those beautiful journal covers - youtube decided I should watch your Nov.23, 2018 video. I think you would laugh your socks off when you see it. Your discovery of none other than your much loved Art Glitter Glue. You had me laughing out loud !!! I use nothing but Art Glitter Glue on everything but fabric as you do. FYI I just started using Tombo Aqua Mono liquid Glue - It's a little more expensive but just love the bottle it comes in and the fact that it goes exactly where you want it without puddling or stringing all over the place. As I've told you before - I don't know what I'd do without you -you have kept me going when all I wanted to do was crawl back into bed and forget the world. Making journals is my reward for going to my studio every day. You are so appreciated ! Thank You - deena
Thank you so much, Deena! I started making videos in 2016 and I bet some of those first ones are pretty hilarious! 😂. I love that the one you watched was the discovery of Art Glitter Glue! 😂. Gosh, I don’t know what I’d do without that stuff! I have a bottle of Tombo too and use it when I’m going somewhere that I can’t take my AGG because it might spill. It’s good too. Yeah, we were telling you😆😆. I can see that the quilted cover with the more solid backside would have been nice quilted before the pocket had been added, but would you have also quilted the patchwork cover through the backside as well being that the quilting wouldn't have lined up on both sides?

Love you too, JoAnn! I think Alfie stays with us enough (because of the girls’ volleyball trips) that he misses us when he’s at home. I told Mike that I feel bad because Alfie always has someone to miss…us when he’s home and his family when he’s here. 😢. Hi Gayle, pretty covers. Scraps of batting, lay them side by side zig zag them together to make bigger pieces, funny how we use every scrap. Great video as always.
I just tried my new machine, t he Singer Heavy Duty. So far so good. I guess my Stylist was a lemon. My best Singer was my grandma's treadle. If I could have gotten parts for it I'd still be using it.
I fell in love with the Kelly Rae fabric and had to rush right on over and buy myself a bunch of it. Now I hope my husband doesn't get the mail the day it's delivered..hahaha. but seriously he doesn't mind so we're all good. Loved the video and your going to have some great journals❣️

Sometimes at the Dollar Tree you can find a large padded mailing envelope that has the same texture as an Amazon envelope.
There’s also the option of a Manila envelope with batting or a file folder with batting. 👍❤️
