Game changer for those (like me) that aren't good at (or want to spend a bunch of time) on finding roms and cover art... and go through the process of getting on a thumbdrive. This is a great alternative for BYOG and ArcadeNet. I don't do anything on Steam or the other providers, and I haven't had any luck with ArcadeNet and local streaming (of Coinops). Can wait to try this. And THANKS for the coupon code... it worked (and I used your affiliate link). This will be Firestick #6 for me. Big Fan!

With the newer sticks you can use an OTG cable to connect a USB Flash drive and extend your storage...
For the price, it definitely seems to be a neat alternative to a mame cabinet.

Nice Video, always enjoy seeing what can be done with the ALU. My only thing I did not enjoy is the music overlay during this video. I do like the limited edit cuts.

On your.third video you should show more than Retroarch. I have a firestick that is just dedicated to gaming. I use Auto Start to start the Arc Browser frontend. Then underneath it all, Retroarch and stand alone emulators do the heavy lifting.
On second thought the Auto Start app wouldn't make much sense in this scenario. Unlike a typical Bluetooth controller the AtGames Legends needs to be synced up every time, so unfortunately you can't bypass the main Fire TV launcher. Arc Browser should definitely be in your video though even if you have to launch it yourself.

not with this current firmware, the legends ultimate firmware that is pairing with the fire stick doesn't appear to be registering as a two player control deck, only one player.
I’m guessing this only works on the 1.0 ALU

i have it on my firestick but am having big problems getting my wiresless xbox controller to be successful at mapping it's keys for this thing, biggest problem is the START button, it works just fine with NES games, and SEGA GENESIS games and such but when it comes to the PS/PSP games i just can't get it to work, doesn't matter WHAT button i try to map to the start button it simply WILL NOT WORK, so most PS/PSP games become unplayable for me, what a drag seeing as i only wanted to use this emulator to play those types of games!
Great tutorial! Is it possible to map the second player controller on the console? To play 2 player fighting games?
not at this time, but I have mentioned this flaw to the AtGames development team and hopefully they can get a fix in place to correct the issue and allow the 2nd player side to be recognized over bluetooth
The firmware has changed on the Legends, and the Wireless Control Deck Mode is different. Can you (or anyone) tell us how to pair the Fire stick with the new firmware?

1. Go to “Settings” on the ALU.
2. Go to “Wirelss Control Deck Mode.”
3. Press and hold P2-Start on the ALU until the two blue LED’s next to the ALU’s power button start blinking.
4. Press the Channel button on the ALU to switch to the HDMI input where the Fire Stick is.
5. Go to settings on the Fire Stick and select “Controllers & Bluetooth Devices.”
6. Select “Game Controllers” (not “Other Bluetooth Devices” as instructed in the video).
7. Pair “Control deck-P1.”
8. Pair “Control deck-P2.”
Why does the usb debugging have to be on?
What about hooking up a Playstation Classic to the Legends Ultimate? Just an idea haha
while it will receive any HDMI signal, unfortunately you would not be able to play the games on the playstation classic with the legends ultimate controls as there is no way to pair the control deck with the playstation classic currently.

How do you reopen saved files? I was playing Sonic Adventure 2 and I saved the game on the virtual memory card. When I go back in I can't retrieve that data. I can find the saved data in es explorer but I cant reopen the saved games. Been having to start over everytime. Help please??
Does your happy chicken favorites folder error? My favorites folder will fill itself up with games I did not add to favorites. And it is a pain to one at a time delete them. Any ideas? I have a 4k firestiick

I remember when if your used a throw in Street Fighter 2 it was considered cheating in my local arcades. People would get in real fist fights over it lol.
I remember an agreement of “one throw per round” in SF2 at a local arcade with some of the regulars. Helped to avoid any fist fights 😂

Is there something that I can do to get my button mapping player one to read my Bluetooth and not my Firestick. It keeps reading my machine under player 2.

JRM 724 no, you can download the games onto the fire stick. Depending on the types of games,l you download and the amount of apps you have installed, there should be sufficient space on the fire stick internal memory

Derek Vogelsang currently it’s not possible, I reported the issue to the AtGames development team and they are supposed to be looking into correcting the issue hopefully soon
My bluetooth connection of the ALU to the firestick disconnects after about 6-8 minutes. Has been as quick as 1 minute. I never get to play longer than about 8. What would be the cause of this?

Have you had any issues with the cabinet freezing? Mine was fine for about a month but recently it has been freezing after about 10-15min when on

some games you can change the aspect ratio and others you can not, it's a game by game basis.
