Actually I like the look of the needle scaler surface after its painted . Sandblasting is not so easy with huge items as it's very messy. Yep that it right there 👍

The main benefit I've experienced is much less dust. It breaks up rust in larger chunks. The needle scaler also fits in tight spaces where a wire wheel might be tough to reach. Depending on the price, I may needle scale the heavy stuff, then do a quick pass with a wire wheel. Then coat with rust encapsulator. Tractor parts I needle scale, then throw in a bucket of evaporust.
The other thing worth to mention when talking about needla scaler and sandblasting is that needle scaler leaves the surface kinda hardened and visibly more resustant to rust. Sand blasted elements rust immediately.

I’d rather use a angle grinder with a wire wheel by a long shot. That needle scaler looks to slow.
Looks like he has a tiny lame compressor. Wire wheel is OK for open areas but the Needler gets into the crevasses that tear up wire wheels.
I love my scaler and also find a hammer attachment on an air chisel does well as long as you are dealing with thicker metal.

I used Marine grade JB weld to build up around some pinholes in my fuel tank.
