Excellent visual representation! I think this along with a chipping hammer and a heavy wire brush grinder all working together will be my solution for my trucks frame resto... I was looking at that very same tool on amazon....SOLD!
Guy I worked for gave me one 6 years ago. Has sat unused since. Need to get scale off a scabby used engine I'm swapping in so I can paint it. Finally going to get used!
I've nominated this vid for an Emmy due to the high class editing.
😂🤣
This vid made me feel better about just getting an electric scaler!! It really does remove rust very well - better than a wire brush. thanks

A air chisel helps break the heavy stuff, then needle scale.
BFH works too😉👍
We used these extensively in the Navy. I bought one from Harbor Freight to take care of some frame rust.
They work as expected! Not the best but get the job DONE

Nice vid. I just got the same one. haven't used it yet though.
🇬🇧 UK here!
Are the needles specially hardened? Made of special steel or even something like tungsten?
Tried hammer before and got bits in my eye 😁
Not soft but no need replacement eventually or just buy a new one
I wish I knew this tool existed, would have made cleaning up my axles 10 times easier
Definitely can make quick work of certain parts and then again the original old school way still works in other areas faster 🤣😂👍
What type or brand of paint did you put on the knuckle?
Rust-Oleum 2x Ultra cover Paint & primer gloss black
How much pressure do you have to put on the tool?
The tool just needs to contact the surface so very little to none
You've sold me to it, and I'm a hard sell!
Dont know man, to me it would be better with a flap disk for that.
@@engjds flap disk can't get into the back side crevices. This was to just show what it does not an actual viable use every time👍
@@rcguygarage Fair enough, they do look handy, especially for bad welders like me haha.
What's the minimum size compressor needed for this?
5 scfm 20 gal just know that if your recovery time on pump is slow you'll kill your pump. This is with ANY high air usage tool. USE WATER SEPARATOR
So this works better then a good angle grinder and heavy duty wire wheel?
Yes but keep in mind I was showing the usage of the tool. A good size hammer can take off the big stuff
This will also get into those nooks
You can do it faster with some Oxy acetylene
Is it loud?
Wear ear protection if you value your hearing😜👍💯👊
@@rcguygarage 😂😂😂
Slooooooowwww moooooooo.....
Yep 👍🤣😂
It's the best
