You should get a Chrissy card from Mitsubishi Australia because you have been (rightly) complimentary about the Triton and the Pajero Sport. If you can find out when they are going to Nissanise these two models I would like to know so I can trade up my current spec PS for a new one before it gets the Nissan treatment.

I wish MItsubishi (and other car makers) would release brochures for public consumption that read like the Product Information Bulletins for Triton and ASX. No marketing fluff or other BS, just the facts car buyers actually need i.e. features, specifications, dimensions, available colours etc.

I do agree the super select mode is fantastic but their lack of a proper fix or parts for the tailgate issue on the 2022 Parjero sport range that has been ongoing now for the past six months across multiple vehicles leaves alot to be desired. Dealership blames MMAL Technical Support but in the meantime customers are left with a tailgate that works sometimes or not at all with no proper communication or repair from the land of the rising sun.

Perhaps we are seeing much more of an impact in the US (car loans, repossessions, backlog in auction yards as well as the circa 15% drop in used car values), as compared to here in Aus. Would be great to see/hear your thoughts on the global financial issues currently being faced and how this will impact Aussies and the current and short term car market.

@@davidnobular9220 That would be a nightmare, but Nissan has started moving away from CVTs and back to conventional autos in certain models. Presumably they've finally realised that CVTs are hopeless for anything involving any degree of torque and power - and generally prone to failure. And since they have access to the SS2, you'd think it might make its way into some Nissan models now - with a different name, of course. Even if it's a relatively expensive drivetrain, the development is already done, it's proven reliable, so much less money spent of a new transmission with failures. They'd be mad to ignore it unless there's some legal reason why Mitsubishi has exclusive rights to use it.

I drive a new triton at work. I like it, but the seats are very uncomfortable, and the roof line feels low. I also drive the BT50 3.2. It's very much better than the Ford Ranger 2.2 diesel we had. I must observe that the BT50 had some terrible things about it. I had to change the tyre following a puncture. The wheel nuts should have been solid...They only look like they are. Mazda has used open nuts surrounded by a pressed cover that makes them look like dome nuts. Horrible. The covers spin around the nuts! Had to chisel them off! Also, the spare wheel has a black rim. The wheels are silver. So put the spare on and it's 3 silvers and one black. Christ! And then there's cheaply made crappy tyre changing kit. Very poorly designed and hard to use. My subaru is so much better in this area.
