How is the bottom floor "hissing" noise with the SM58? I'm looking to investing in these both, but believe I would need a Fethead as well midigate the ambient noise coming from the MVX2U. Would love to hear a response! I believe this could be one of the best values that can match an SM7B sound at a significant less cost.

I always suggest clean gain with most every dynamic mic - I typically add a Cloudlifter CL-1 to give it that "fuel injection" of clean gain and get the most out of any dynamic, tube or ribbon mic. Do you *need* it? No - but I believe it makes your sound just a bit better and removes any possibility of preamp noise with any interface. Does that help you?

Can this also monitor the audio of your guest speaker when doing a livestream or recording? And also monitor the videos being played on the computer?

The local monitor headphone jack on the MVX2U allows you to monitor the mic itself (with MotivPlus processing). For livestreams and videos on the computer, you should use the computer’s monitoring system or headphone jack. Does that help you? Thanks for watching!

@@Dealcasters Are you sure? On Shure's channel they said this can monitor what's happening on your computer too. Otherwise I have zero reason to get this, as I already have an audio interface as I'm a music producer.
With my audio interface though, I was for some reason never able to monitor anything except when I'm recording music into Logic. But for any podcasting applications or any livestreaming applications, they just don't seem to play back anything from the headphone output of my audio interface for some reason. So I thought I'd get this instead.
Let me know if you're aware. Thanks!
