FYI MY ALIGNMENT HAS NOT BEEN EFFECTED AND REPAIR IS STILL HOLDING. If you checked your RYKER let me know if your steering bearing is not sitting right.
Good job.. I found the same problem on my Ryker 1 month ago and didn’t know how to explain it to my club I’m waiting on the part now.. thank you great video 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🔥🔥🔥🔥
My lower bearing fell out. My left tire had the death wobble before the repair. Made same repair. No issues since repair. I check every now and then to verify bearing is still in place.
@@SIRyker my repair was same as you have in the video. My top bearing had fell out. Everything was in place. Not sure of the cause??? I removed the wire connection that was in front of it for a little better access. No issue since the repair.
De France , à combien de kms ou miles ça arrive ce type d'usure qui devient dangereux , merci de vos réponses !!! mon ryker est neuf .2024 .Salut les Ricains !!!!
I couldn’t tell you the answer. I only found out because another channel mentioned it and I checked mine. I would just keep an eye on it from time to time.
good day. before icing of the intelligent ones on the steering columns in the places where the bushing is mounted? will not happen what film will be suitable for. greetings from Poland
Just curious how the plastic bush came out in the first place? Maybe the locating lugs snapped off, who knows. Anyway, it should have helped your bike with more positive steering and for $12, it's worth replacing.
@@mum-0217 I didn’t notice any locating tabs. The recesses are curved so I would assume that provides the locating and securing. I didn’t notice any play before the parts swap. I was more worried of the part falling out.
@@SIRyker I thought I saw some plastic pins coming out from the bottom of each cup and going into corresponding round holes? Might be wrong but at least you have changed it now anyway. 👍
What an odd part. I'm betting the plastic wears down over time and the reduced thickness allows it to slide down the shaft and out of its seat. Nice repair yada yada yada! 🔧😎
Hey buddy I didn’t notice any major difference actually. Then again I never measured it. It really shouldn’t be shifting given what it actually does. It is an odd design. BRP doesn’t believe in Murphy law.
Thanks for the info and pointing out. How many miles have different people got on their Ryker? Just interested to think when to remove/clean/regrease. Mine is only 400miles. at the moment. Cheers
@SIRyker thanks I found a pair for 18.06 I just bought I just happened to be scrolling through TH-cam yesterday. And watch your video and went outside and looked at mine and mine was all twisted up and hanging out almost ready to fall out.
@SIRyker yeah now I've been through 3 fuel pumps and now this and my shift mechanism is malfunctioning I'll be riding and when I go to get on it it switches to neutral and f back and forth and loses power but if I wiggle my shifter I can usually get it to stay on F it's a 2019 with 20,000 miles on it
Can’t give you any insight on the shifter unfortunately. The new fuel pumps should fix that problem. They just replacing the old defectives with new defectives but that should be sorted out now. I wrapped my tank in a heat shield blanket just to keep the heat out of the gas.
Just had some marine corrosion control trailer wheel bearing grease I had in house. It doesn’t feel like it’s a high pressure or stress bearing( it’s plastic) but I’ll tell you that the old grease was gritty.

Gonna do this in the morning since I already put my ryker away.
Let me know how it goes. I wish you the best of luck

Glad it helped. As I said in the vid it was a FB group member bringing it to my attention.

Thanks , will have to take a look at it, My ryker is super straight also .
Luckily it only goes in one way so alignment shouldn’t be an issue as far as I can tell.

Where did you get that part
I got it online . I think it was fox power sports . Probably the cheapest repair possible lol.
