They always put on a good show, just wish Pauls voice wasn’t so trashed. He sounds like an old Jewish mother now. His lower register still sounds pretty good, I wish they would have taken the time to rework some of the more popular songs for Paul to sing in the lower part of his register. Half step or even whole step tuned down. It would still sound good, I always liked his lower register better anyway, sounded less nasally.. think Alive, Rock Bottom, some of the others .. then the other thing he could do is spread the singing around a little more, Singer has a GREAT tenor voice, and could do justice to some of Pauls more popular songs that he just can’t hit the notes on anymore. Gene actually has a great voice when he isn’t doing his cookie monster impersonation, Not really sure about Tommy, but he could probably do some one off’s just to help save strain on Pauls voice..
I wouldn’t have ever really noticed that, but since I saw your post I have looked at several of the more recent ish clips and your right. In the old days, he would hold his head back and shake his head and it would sort of ooze down the sides of his cheeks, chin, neck.. now he just sort of lets it come straight out.. but I’ve also noticed he is wearing more of the Destroyer kind of armor in almost all of the clips I could find. He is definitely more covered up in that armor which may have something to do with it.
