As for me, i became a KISS FAN right at the height of the LOVE GUN, North American tour in the summer of 1977, and received my diploma as an officially, certified member of the KISS ARMY in November' 1996, just 3 months after attending my VERY FIRST SHOW LIVE, at Montreal's Bell Centre in August, as part of the ALIVE / WORLDWIDE, North American Reunion tour.
I they did half the show without the makeup with the old members, then the second half with makeup and founding members, they could open up for themselves.

I remember Paul once saying KISS was about more than just one member in the band and these guys, Singer and Thayer, are and have been part of the band and so yes this is KISS. However for a KISS Farewell Tour they should have everyone still kicking out there on stage for each concert date.
Guys like McCartney, Elton John, the Stones, U2 etc, the legitimate “big boys” don’t say in interviews how good they are and how many records they sell etc. They don’t have to. A lion doesn’t have to tell anyone that it’s a lion. Gene and Paul are always saying how great they are and how many records they’ve sold because they know it’s not true. KISS haven’t sold shit since 1988, that was the last time they had a platinum album.

Been a KISS fan since 1975. And sure... Ace & Peter were a part of KISS for part of the ride, but I have nothing but respect for Eric & Tommy for stepping up to the plate and doing what Ace and Peter should have done from day one.... period.

COTN & Lick It Up great albums and songs. Skip to Revenge once again Vinnie had hand in that record. The original 4 had "star" power & personality and originality. The bulk of all setlists come from the first 6 studio albums. I get it if someone became a fan when Animalize came out and didn't know much about the past then they may love it. 70's KISS was awesome, they were my favorite band, they were cool, the memorabilia, the artwork, the mystique of never seeing them without their makeup, they were totally different than any other band I was 9 when they started in 73 and I am now 54, KISS for me ended in 1979 after Dynasty that is until 96 when MTV unplugged got the original band back together and they did the reunion tour to say "goodbye" to Ace and Peter, so everything after that is anti-climatic, the real band has left the building and gone into retirement almost 20 years ago, and now cover-kiss is retiring,Yaaawwwwnnnn!

@@georgevila2777Thank you, yeah I'm a lifelong KISS fan but I just cannot stomach two other guys posing as Ace and Peter, they should have made them different characters or just took the makeup off, there's nothing wrong with letting the guys choose their own characters and costumes just like they did when they started out, I mean Vinnie and Eric Carr did it and it worked. I will still try and see them this last time but I kinda feel like this tour may be a dud, I hope not but the nostalgia has worn off and only hitting on 50% power and with Paul's voice shot it might be rough for them, but that being said I think they should have ended at the Hall of Fame , everyone that has been in the band get up and play a few songs and the end with Rock n roll all night everyone jamming together, take a bow and ride off into the sunset, would have been great.

I must somehow clarify of the fact, that when Tommy and Eric joined the band around late 2003, it was Gene and Paul who ordered the newcomers, to don the face paint and costumes, once worn by both Ace and Peter. After all, they are the co- owners and founders of the KISS name, as well as their respectable characters. So as bosses of the band, Tommy and Eric had to follow through with that order. Otherwise, they would have been fired right on the spot, and this kind of situation not only happens to rock stars, but it also affects ordinary human beings like us as well. Remember that the boss is the one who commands the ship, and if he orders that individual to do something, he will have to obey his orders, whether he likes it or not. I understand, that many fans do not approve of Tommy and Eric, impersonating the Space Ace and the Cat Man. But if the orders came directly from Gene and Paul themselves, then there is no other alternative but to accept it. That's the way it goes, in our normal, everyday lives.

As for me, i became a KISS FAN right at the height of the LOVE GUN, North American tour in the summer of 1977, and received my diploma as an officially, certified member of the KISS ARMY in November' 1996, just 3 months after attending my VERY FIRST SHOW LIVE, at Montreal's Bell Centre in August, as part of the ALIVE / WORLDWIDE, North American Reunion tour.
I they did half the show without the makeup with the old members, then the second half with makeup and founding members, they could open up for themselves.

I remember Paul once saying KISS was about more than just one member in the band and these guys, Singer and Thayer, are and have been part of the band and so yes this is KISS. However for a KISS Farewell Tour they should have everyone still kicking out there on stage for each concert date.
Guys like McCartney, Elton John, the Stones, U2 etc, the legitimate “big boys” don’t say in interviews how good they are and how many records they sell etc. They don’t have to. A lion doesn’t have to tell anyone that it’s a lion. Gene and Paul are always saying how great they are and how many records they’ve sold because they know it’s not true. KISS haven’t sold shit since 1988, that was the last time they had a platinum album.
Can you imagine you much they sold between 1097 and 1988! When Alive II came out they had eight albums in the Billboard top 100.

Been a KISS fan since 1975. And sure... Ace & Peter were a part of KISS for part of the ride, but I have nothing but respect for Eric & Tommy for stepping up to the plate and doing what Ace and Peter should have done from day one.... period.

I agree with KISS! If you can still do your job well at a older age and 45 years of music and tours! You want to end it just right. Shit after 45 years and over 20 different tours i would want to say goodbye and enjoy the rest of my life with family. Jack Roberts Exactly right. All bombast from lasers and pyro, and you get less than half-strength Paul croaking his way through songs that are already down-tuned to try and accommodate what voice he does have left, which is pretty much only to speak...
Both of you gentlemen are right Paul's voice is done, he's just like David Lee Roth and Jon Bon Jovi at this point. They should've hung up their boxing gloves back in 2001(original farewell tour)with the original line up. I hate to put it this way but the old mighty dollar is the only thing that Gene and Paul are concern about.

COTN & Lick It Up great albums and songs. Skip to Revenge once again Vinnie had hand in that record. The original 4 had "star" power & personality and originality. The bulk of all setlists come from the first 6 studio albums. I get it if someone became a fan when Animalize came out and didn't know much about the past then they may love it. 70's KISS was awesome, they were my favorite band, they were cool, the memorabilia, the artwork, the mystique of never seeing them without their makeup, they were totally different than any other band I was 9 when they started in 73 and I am now 54, KISS for me ended in 1979 after Dynasty that is until 96 when MTV unplugged got the original band back together and they did the reunion tour to say "goodbye" to Ace and Peter, so everything after that is anti-climatic, the real band has left the building and gone into retirement almost 20 years ago, and now cover-kiss is retiring,Yaaawwwwnnnn!

@@georgevila2777Thank you, yeah I'm a lifelong KISS fan but I just cannot stomach two other guys posing as Ace and Peter, they should have made them different characters or just took the makeup off, there's nothing wrong with letting the guys choose their own characters and costumes just like they did when they started out, I mean Vinnie and Eric Carr did it and it worked. I will still try and see them this last time but I kinda feel like this tour may be a dud, I hope not but the nostalgia has worn off and only hitting on 50% power and with Paul's voice shot it might be rough for them, but that being said I think they should have ended at the Hall of Fame , everyone that has been in the band get up and play a few songs and the end with Rock n roll all night everyone jamming together, take a bow and ride off into the sunset, would have been great.

I must somehow clarify of the fact, that when Tommy and Eric
joined the band around late 2003, it was Gene and Paul who ordered the newcomers, to don the face paint and costumes, once worn by both Ace and Peter. After all, they are the co- owners and founders of the KISS name, as well as their respectable characters.
So as bosses of the band, Tommy and Eric had to follow through with that order. Otherwise, they would have been fired right on the spot, and this kind of situation not only happens to
rock stars, but it also affects ordinary human beings like us as well. Remember that the boss is the one who commands the ship, and if he orders that individual to do something, he will
have to obey his orders, whether he likes it or not.
I understand, that many fans do not approve of Tommy and
Eric, impersonating the Space Ace and the Cat Man. But if the
orders came directly from Gene and Paul themselves, then there
is no other alternative but to accept it. That's the way it goes,
in our normal, everyday lives.
So sad that I wasn't able to see them. I'm actually crying.
