It got me through a drug rehab halfway house. I remember my drug counselor found me singing my lungs out during free time. She said it was the first time she saw me genuinely happy. I told her, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!! She brought the tape too...😁

She is a true vocal master, and able to deliver real emotion like few other singers can, plus her raw ability looks effortless. I've seen her perform live 3 times, and even met her, briefly. This had always been my truly absolute favorite song that she had ever did during her career with being in her age catagory and twice living in similar old mid west and southern town very similar to the one in her original video.
