- After wrapping up the loose ends on my interior overhaul for my 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix, I throw together a little before and after montage to recap where this thing came from and compare it to where it ended up.

Hater's will hate, but I LOVE that carbon fibre look! Great job! Give me motivation to tackle the interior on the Cordoba after 27 years. lol
Means a lot buddy. Go get that 'doba refreshed!
Pretty awesome transformation. I like the carbon fiber look.
George, well hello! Thank you so much, hope the New Year has started off well and the rest of the family is doing great
Man there is a lot to be said about a fresh clean interior on any ride and the process has been a great learning experience Glad the Speakers are getting some use sounds good on camera!
Thanks a bunch Craig
@@Str8sixfan You are welcome Happy I could help Brother!
@@CraigDurbin Hey Craig! Long time no hear! Hope all is well!
@@OldeCarrGuy been super busy and in Indiana since the first part of Nov. But doing well hope you all are Blessed as well
The CF wrapped gauge cluster looks pretty sweet!!! I'll take that over the OG wood panels every day.
I'm so glad I did it! It turned out awesome!
Now, that is one outstanding transformation. The carbon fiber wrap on the gauge panel looks really cool! Great Video!!
I'm super pleased with the outcome for sure. Now if you want to do another collab video...come out to my place to detail an engine bay with me? Haha.
Let's see if we can make that work.
Looks great Grant keep up the good content
next one due out a week from tomorrow
Looks 🔥, this motivates me to freshen up my interior on my grand Prix.
Thanks! And good luck. It was a journey but well worth it. My only advice after the fact (a little over 1 year later)is, don't settle for less than 3 coats of paint on everything. I did 2 and there are a few areas that a scratch shows all the way through. So I'll have some touch up to do in a few spots. Thanks for finding me!
@@Str8sixfan my dash pad is in pretty good condition, I just need to redo my seats because it has some rips and new carpet to bring out some color. Other than that she’s pretty solid.
& it’s also good to see Grand Prix content. We have the forgotten about gbodies lol.
@@Roy_moeee Seats are really the only thing I didn't touch but still need it. However I'll save that for the next potential buyer to make their own
@@Roy_moeee That's why it's perfect under my mantra of 'off-beat hot rodding'. The black sheep, that still have the bountiful aftermarket!
Great work on the interior but not sure about all the contrasting colors. I would have key everything camel and the tan that was used on the door bottoms. Grey doesn't go to well with tan IMO
it was a gamble for sure, but I like the way it turned out
Congratulations Grant! Wow it looks good. I have to admit when I saw the grey of the dash I had my hesitations but kept cheering you on. However, I was wrong and it looks awesome and the door panels look better than GM made them! Grant "Versace" Thome nailed it!
I knew I was taking a gamble, and wasn't sure how I'd like it, but I took the risk and love the results
looks good
Thanks man!
Fantastic, big like and full support 👍🙌
Appreciate that greatly
Looks amazing. I have an 85 ltd if you want to trade lol.
dude, if you were closer that's mighty tempting
@@Str8sixfan next time you’re in Oregon lol.
Where did you get your new dash ? I really need one for my Cutlass
It's the original. I re-finished it too. I have a 3-part series on the dash alone if you'd like to learn more.
Thank you I will go check out your videos!!
Looks great, nice job!!
Appreciate that!
