I have heard in the past that Hereford Cattle are prone to pinkeye because of the white skin on their face. Some of my relatives had a few Hereford Beef cows and never had the issue. Were they just lucky? I have also heard that Hereford Cattle are more prone to pinkeye out on open range and deep brush like in the states of Utah, Colorado and places like that. Any truth to this? Is pinkeye had to cure? My relatives never had this problem..just curious. In watching your videos all of your livestock seem to be extremely healthy and your pens and barns are immaculate. We have only had pink eye once, but not on a Hereford. It was one of our milking shorthorn and it was simple to treat. Put some of the cream injected into cows udder for mastitis into the eye for a few days
