I’ve driven my 19 1SS on 800 mi round trips twice. It’s not annoying AT ALL. I usually have my windows down. But when it’s 90s plus, have had the windows up for 2hrs on the freeway and still not all annoying. Yes you do hear the tires a little bit but nothing crazy. The SS is an excellent long haul cruiser if you need it be. Very comfortable too. Zero regrets.

The 2 best features of this Camaro: a V8 engine and rear wheel drive, like my Suburban and GMC Crew Cab Denali pick up, both of which have tons of room and great visibility in all directions. Each to his own.
Viking Yep! I was born in “48. My first car at age 16 was a ‘55 Chevy 2 door hardtop, then a ‘58 Impala convertible, then a ‘62 Impala coupe. It’s hard for me to accept anything else but “old school” rear wheel drive with a V8. I have owned 15 cars/trucks so far and only 1 was not rwd, an ‘87 Toyota Camry. 🤷🏻♂️
TheAow4321 My point is that some people prefer V8 engines and RWD. They are so rare now that trucks or SUV’s based on trucks are a popular way to have what used to be common. My Crew Cab Denali is a magnificent road trip ride. Plenty of room for 4. It handles just fine. I would have bought another new Suburban instead but, out of my budget and the crew cab is basically the same vehicle w/o the enclosed rear for $20,000 less . Yes a RWD Beemer would be a great vehicle to have also! I love them! (I’ve owned 4 BMW motorcycles) Manufacturers started making front wheel drive because it is cheaper to build. I think they are inferior. Just my opinion. But, I appreciate yours!
@@steveprinty5674 fair enough, I just find it odd to compare a pony car to a truck or SUV.. if you want performance and a large cabin, why not get a Challenger/Charger instead?
The Iraqis got awfully uncomfortable in those T-72s as well. :) I dunno...for the money I think I'd get a Challenger instead, if for no other reason than the usable back seat. Hemis sound pretty sweet as well.
I like the straight forward, honest, and ruthless critique of the car inside and out. Makes me want to go out purchase one even more now.
